what do you think the plan is with 3rd party blocks? If I were Darkglass it almost would make sense to focus on the drives and comp (which Darkglass are known for) and let others develop the other stuff?

Reckon so, I can’t see them having the bandwidth to do everything people might want from scratch so hopefully they have an mxr/boss/ehx deal lined up or in progress. You would have thought that they have software versions of their own pedals already that will be easily portable. Boss definitely do, just a question of whether they want to play ball I guess. 
 

But yeah, dirt pedals are low hanging fruit as they are pretty simple circuits and gives people some different and classic options to the dg ones. Shows they are good on the updates so that’s a win win.

I doubt it would be boss/ehx/Mxr as frankly if they wanted too they could bring their own anagram type unit to market - and they aren’t going to undercut their own products.

 

I imagine it will be things like is it the Valhalla reverb where a plug-in can find a new audience and compete with something like blackhole

Looks like there's a new software version 1.5 with more distortions. I really want to check one of these out. 

 

@LukeFRC a Valhalla plugin would be insane! I'd love something like that. A guitarist in an old band used to loop everything live and ran Valhalla. It was a huge swirling beast!

Boss pedals might be possible, without them losing out on sales. The Anagram has/will have plugin support, and Boss already have a plugin suite of their most popular pedals available to purchase. There may eventually be a way that a user can purchase the Boss plugin to run on the Anagram, or they can work together to integrate it as a paid addon.

Darkglass have released a video demonstrating the new blocks.  I have to say, the Sansamp and Big Muff sound great.

Me too! I also like the Arc Dreamer block. The Boss OD one is too harsh for me even at low gain setting

Just like the real thing then. I bought one once. Took it back a week later. Couldn't get a sound I liked out of it.
