juice Posted February 2, 2025 Posted February 2, 2025 Thought I’d start a thread for my favourite manufacturer; I am sure there are a few more PRS players lurking in the wings to share some pics, here’s my four to start the ball rolling (‘89 Bass 4, ‘93 EB4, 2013 GG4, 2015 GG5). 11 Quote
Doctor J Posted February 3, 2025 Posted February 3, 2025 Nice. I've had a couple of EB4s over the years and liked them a lot but the extended and curved pickup ends just don't make my thumb happy so ended up moving them on. I'm happiest on a 38mm nut too. 1 Quote
The Burpster Posted February 8, 2025 Posted February 8, 2025 The little blonde number on the Right of the above set was one of mine that I sold to the Juice last year. The only other one I have out of storage at the moment is the EB4 that I had made into a fretless by HG Thor. There are very few fretless PRS basses and this is most likely the only EB4. 3 Quote
Doctor J Posted February 8, 2025 Posted February 8, 2025 Is the blonde EB4 up there not fretless too? Quote
juice Posted February 9, 2025 Author Posted February 9, 2025 (edited) @The Burpster She has getting played a lot despite the company she’s in, so pleased I bought this from you. Edited February 9, 2025 by juice 1 Quote
jazzyvee Posted February 9, 2025 Posted February 9, 2025 Can't say i've ever seen or heard a PRS bass so no idea what they sound like, but the two on the left appeal to me visually👍🏾 Quote

juice Posted February 9, 2025 Author Posted February 9, 2025 @jazzyvee the 40th anniversary video for prs guitars on YouTube is worth a watch - Gary grainger plays for the first half the concert before Mark Lettieri’s band take the stage (Wes Stephenson). Quote
Doctor J Posted February 9, 2025 Posted February 9, 2025 Here are my two former ones. Lovely basses, just not right for me 2 Quote
AndyTravis Posted February 9, 2025 Posted February 9, 2025 (edited) I had this one for a few months… I bought my old custom shop jazz back - so it had to go to fund it… Edited February 9, 2025 by AndyTravis 3 Quote

Only myself and my old teacher and dyed in the wool guitard Neale have played Blondey. He summed it up for me in that PRS guitars feel like they were made just for you! I have two Swampash ones (one of which was in Paul’s personal collection) they both have Maple/Maple necks which just feel sublime! 😊 1 Quote
juice Posted March 23, 2025 Author Posted March 23, 2025 @PurpleOtternice peterson setup you have there, don’t see many of these exceptional amps. Quote
PurpleOtter Posted March 23, 2025 Posted March 23, 2025 They went out of business years ago unfortunately. Quote

PurpleOtter Posted March 23, 2025 Posted March 23, 2025 (edited) I have had my Wal since 1989 and hands down it blows the PRS away. There is a reason they have near mythical status. Edited March 23, 2025 by PurpleOtter Quote
