WalMan Posted November 6 Posted November 6 I have one on order 😁 If it’s anything like the One10’s I’m sure it’ll be fine Quote

I am predominantly a 5 string player. how do you three 10 cab users find the cab copes with the low B string? I've gigged with 2 One10's in a loud top 40's cover band using a 5 string bass and these cabs handled the gig perfectly. I also successfully gigged a Two10 and One10 in a loud blues rock band. I see no reason why the 310 wouldn't come through with flying colours. 1 Quote

ossyrocks Posted November 7 Posted November 7 (edited) I can't comment on whether it handles a 5 as I' don't use one. But I can't see any scenario where this cab wouldn't work. It's a cab I expect to keep forever (famous last words). However, there have been small gigs where it has not been the most appropriate cab for the job, and I've used my One10 for those so far. Occasionally I have felt the One10 to be not quite enough, so I've ordered another one. Hopefully by Christmas I'll have all the options covered, 1x10, 2x10, and 3x10 depending on the gig. I love the sound of Barefaced 10" cabs. Rob Edited November 7 by ossyrocks 5 Quote
BassAdder60 Posted November 7 Posted November 7 There’s a new 2 x 12 based on the 4 x10 size cab. That would be a good choice Quote

Rob I bought a One10 WIDE, so I have one for small gigs, Three10 for medium or bigger gigs (if there's good monitoring) and effectively a 4x10 if I really want to blast it. The Three10 has a relatively small footprint, hardly bigger than your average 1x12 cab. Edited November 7 by bassist_lewis spelling 1 Quote

However, when our drummer sees the Three10 with a vintage 400RB on top, his eyes light up and he sees it as an opportunity to hit a bit harder. So I take a rig commensurate with the size of the room, and it keeps the drummer at a reasonable level. It's odd, I know, but you haven't met our drummer (he's a great drummer btw). The first time I took a One10 instead, it was amazing how much quieter he played. 2 2 Quote

ossyrocks Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago When I ordered my 3x10 in May 2024, lead time was stated at 6 to 8 weeks, and it took 8 weeks. I'm waiting on another 1x10 at the moment, and lead time has been stated at 6 to 12 weeks. I don't know if it's the move to new premises, or just increased demand which is affecting lead times. I'm sure Scott Devine and Ian Martin Allison have had a lot to do with the increased exposure and interest for Barefaced too. Rob Quote
