Envelope filters

Isn't the red script reissue Mini Q a buffered foot switch? Think the purple script is when they switched to true bypass (and stopped putting those really cool control knobs on).

Maybe it's not purple script but ''purple haze''.

Here's a little Meatball demo (after about 1 minute)

 

I have it set to quite lively, no attack, here. Generally I like it to be quite subtle but responsive to any extra dynamics. 

 

At about 2:40 I use the Bassballs for a synth sound which works well in almost everything, becoming one of my favourite sounds even though when I first tried the pedal I thought it was ridiculous.

Yes, however it will run from a pair of 9V batteries.

I wanted a cheap envelope filter to play around with when it takes my fancy, I settled on the Flamma FC11 at £26 I was really impressed with the quality, sound, easy of use, yeah its a mini pedal but if you're ever in the same position as me I would recommend it.

Just found a nice demo on YouTube by JoBass, that sounds very very good, even without the silly low price!

Where did you get yours from?

Amazon have started stocking them, so I ordered it from there, other than that I could only find them on Thomann.

Hi' i own a 3 Leaf GR2 & a VFE Mini Mu

the GR2 is modelled on the Lovetone Meatball Circuit' & the Mini Mu  after the Mutron.. both are discontinued & to my ears cover just about all of the classic filter sounds'  the GR2 for up

& the Mini Mu for down sweeps...

The GR2 is way better than both of the Wonderloves that came after it...

I have the GR2 on my board I’ve played through but I always come back to this. I also have a Haz Labs filter but I’ll probably be moving it on. It’s great but takes up a lot of space on the board.

I have until  Thursday to consider this Wonderlove mk1 

I have a Proton mk 3 but thought it might be nice to try another 3Leaf Audio product 

 

I prefer the SGFX Bi-Filter to the Proton , but I'm running 2 boards due to pedal addiction

I have the Wonderlove mk1 as well as GR2 and Proton mk4.  

 

I really like both of the older ones and the Proton is on my guitar board.  If its not too pricey and if you think you can move it on if you dont like it I would go for it.  I will be keeping the Wonderlove and GR2 for a very long time.  

 

I am though currently using my IE XE as a main filter for more synth 90s dance music my two bands are doing and I feel it does a great job of that (and takes up less space) but any of my 3 Leaf pedals could do the job to be honest.
