Plankton Posted July 18, 2023 Share Posted July 18, 2023 Hi folks, long time lurker, first time poster. Just a wee introduction to kick things off! i’m an artist in his 30s living in Brighton, UK. Been playing bass for 25 years and have played in all sorts of bands; soul, funk, jazz, punk, metal, post hardcore, classical, you name it. I’ve been through a lot of gear over years and relatively know my way around it, but now that i’m not playing in a band at the moment so the gearlist has shrunk dramatically! I play on a Fender P, J and Mustang, all with flats. I’ve a simple pedal board with a Tuner, Compressor and OD/Fuzz. I’m just using a little Vox guitar amp at home. Favourite stuff to listen to and play right now is Vulfpeck, Menahan Street Band, Thee Sacred Souls, Stevie Wonder, NHOP, JJ, Carol Kay, Pino, etc- not reinventing any wheels by any stretch of the imagination. Mark Thanks, i was lucky to get a lot of support from my parents with art and music. My first bass was at ten years. It was a Yamaha, full scale, PJ pups.
