  1. Something like this? https://www.gak.co.uk/en/hercules-gs412b-plus-ags-guitar-stand/928341?gclsrc=aw.ds&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwrIixBhBbEiwACEqDJU6zwymu8azrWA0xSTfluFBqrMLVJN07oU4ufvLFrmDk9-ayr-EH1RoCnkUQAvD_BwE Sam x
  2. I always stand stage left ... mostly so there is less chance of me hitting anyone with my bass headstock! Sam x
  3. My setup is close ... But no red sofas! lol In fact it is my gigging setup for small gigs and I hook up a PJB C4 for more oomph when required. Sam x
  4. This crowd say they ship worldwide https://www.sheethappenspublishing.com/products/sheet-happens-blank-tab-book-4-string-bass-4-string-bass-edition?variant=43034200703196 Sam x

    Hi

Welcome to BC @Nos! Sam x
  6. And it is GORGEOUS @Pea Turgh! Sam x
  7. @GeorgeLawton94, HEIC format is only visible to Apple users ... can you upload the pix in PNG or JPG format? Sam x
  8. I play short-scale, I've one 4 and two 5s (With BEADG) and prefer the 5s. The string spacing is a bit narrow on my GRSM25, but I like it as I can stay in one position (usually about the 5th). Hopefully soon (in the next year or two! lol) I'll build Phoenix, short scale headless 5er with 18mm bridge string spacing and then I'll be in hog heaven! Sam x
  9. Neat approach, but I wonder what would happen if the neck was not flat between 10 an 20? There is a fellow on youtube, who describes a way of making a notched straightedge that might be a better approach. Sam x
  10. Thanks Si, sadly my fretting hand does not cope with anything more than 30 inch. Sam x
  11. Never had any music education at my school (1970s) so not sure if it would have helped. Sam x
  12. I've used the Peterson Clip on for a few years with huge success, I love strobe tuners ... but only on acoustics, for my electric bass I just can't get it to work well. I had a StroboStomp for a while and loved it, but it was destroyed in a fire. At present I use a Korg Pitchblack mini for my 5ers and am very happy with it; not crazy expensive and so very tiny! Sam x
  13. You're right @Baloney Balderdash, I remeasured with calipers and that is spot on. But I find the spacing on my GSRM25 too tight, I've tried the TMB35 which has a bridge spacing of 18mm (as does the EHB1005SMS) and I liked it (tho both had other issues that put me off); my GSRM20 has 19mm which I love (but just 4 stings!) ... I much prefer the wider spacing and my aim for a self build is 18-19mm. Sam x
  14. Low risk I'd say. I was kindly gifted a HB B-550FL BK Progressive Series after my fire and it is lovely. Not light (and sadly I've found 34inch scale length too much for me) but well built, nicely finished, good pups (with active/passive mode) and it is lovely in terms of feel and tone. Thomann have a great simple return policy (Tho I've always found it near impossible to find a local dropoff point for their free return delivery service). Sam x
