The same sort of thing happened to a good friend of mine when playing in a pub. Plugged his guitar into his amp, about to start the set, when he got a whack from the mains supply and died on stage. This was about 20 years ago and he was only in his mid twenties. I've used a RCD adaptor ever since. 1 Quote

Dan Dare Posted May 18, 2024 Posted May 18, 2024 Love this (apart from Greg Koch, who can't seem to resist playing a pastiche of everything), but Guy's a great singer as well as being mighty handy on the geetar. 1 Quote

Greg's just Greg. Guy King is always on the money. I like that bass players left hand technique, effective and economical. All the right notes in all the the right places and not an ounce of energy wasted. 1 Quote
Lozz196 Posted May 18, 2024 Posted May 18, 2024 From what I’ve heard off of Slash’s new album he seems to be doing some good blues - on a 335 I should point out. My copy on way. Quote
Jonesy Posted February 5, 2025 Author Posted February 5, 2025 7 pages in and no mention of Freddie King yet - sacrilege! This ones a little funkier than the record and has a nice little bass break by Benny Turner, one of my favourite blues bassists 2 Quote
anthomp Posted December 10, 2025 Posted December 10, 2025 Time to bring back this thread to life. A funky Albert Collins. 2 Quote
