Cairobill Posted September 18, 2019 Posted September 18, 2019 (edited) Happily decided to withdraw this bass due to a) lack of buyer interest (but mostly) b) its sheer awesomeness. These are INCREDIBLY good basses. 2020 will just have to see me buying more basses I think Edited January 2, 2020 by Cairobill 11

I still have the original manual and receipt including posters and private letter sent to me from Warwick in Germany when i had a few issues with the bass when bought new in 89 and it was returned to them in Germany from the Dealer i bought from. The Yamaha is certainly a gorgeous looking bass sir and i can only wish you well with the sale. Pretty sure it won't be long in selling. All the best Dave 1
Cairobill Posted October 3, 2019 Author Posted October 3, 2019 (edited) Anyone up for a swap for a maple fretboard Stingray Classic (or indeed a sale/handover as I've got my eye on a bass on the board) Edited October 3, 2019 by Cairobill
Onyxbass Posted October 9, 2019 Posted October 9, 2019 So is the finish like a black and gold sparkle?
Cairobill Posted October 9, 2019 Author Posted October 9, 2019 It's a starry night for want of a better description - black gloss but in the right light it has a silvery sparkle. 20 minutes ago, Onyxbass said: So is the finish like a black and gold sparkle?

Cairobill Posted November 14, 2019 Author Posted November 14, 2019 (edited) And here's a bump for this very nice Japanese BB3000A. Edited November 28, 2019 by Cairobill
Cairobill Posted November 30, 2019 Author Posted November 30, 2019 And a weekend bump for this beautiful bass which I would keep if I was not on a one bass diet. It's in gorgeous nick, light and well balanced. The platonic ideal of a BB3000A. And did I mention it's Japanese and not Taiwanese? I'll post some sound clips shortly...it's absolutely stellar... 1
Cairobill Posted December 2, 2019 Author Posted December 2, 2019 Should point out that this is a guide price so if you have an offer in mind, let me know!
songofthewind Posted December 2, 2019 Posted December 2, 2019 Yamaha really know what they’re doing, eh?! Lovely bass.
Cairobill Posted December 2, 2019 Author Posted December 2, 2019 Yup - it's gorgeous...but need a different beast for my three piece and am on a one bass policy
Cairobill Posted December 4, 2019 Author Posted December 4, 2019 -> Bump for a Yuletide price drop <- 1
dmccombe7 Posted December 4, 2019 Posted December 4, 2019 WHY has this not sold ? Basses don't come any better than this for build quality, playability and tone. Plus the fact you don't see many of these about.. Dave 1

It's flipping fantastic... This is a vgc Japan made 1987 BB3000A with OHSC (case a bit tatty but good working order). Here's a selection of (late 70s/80s) noodling played on this authentically eighties bass. Do check it out with nice headphones if you can... Nice video! 1
dmccombe7 Posted December 12, 2019 Posted December 12, 2019 Loved the VID clip you added. Fantastic bit of playing on all styles. Gorgeous bass, great playing. Why has this bass not gone a long time ago. Its quite rare to see one of these for sale and Yamaha at its very best. Dave 2
