No luck with various readers...very strange. If and when I figure out what's up I'll post something here. Am on linux and have tried out the chrome renderer / foxit / whatever reader was already installed on the laptop..no joy!

Used a couple of cmdline utils to extract all images from The Major's Bass Boot Camp text for Sessions 1 to 14e.pdf etc...also asked a friend with a windows machine to open the files..nada!

The files on page 1 with "text" in the file name are descriptive. The files with "score" in them contain the notation. These open with a regular PDF viewer.

I still don't see how I can get the notation. I'm on a Mac so might explain it?

Must be a Mac thing. They open ok on a PC.

Thanks Rich and Stevie for keeping and re-uploading this fabulous resource. I must admit, I too was puzzled by the lack of notation in the pdfs before taking a second look at the post!

Hope I'm not being daft, but it looks like 28a 28b 28c score pdfs are missing from Stevie's post above...?

You're right, Ricky. I've just checked my hard disk and I don't have them. I'll check my laptop later today, but I think they might be lost for all time - unless someone else has saved them.

The Major hasn't posted on here for years. I often wonder what happened to him. Retired maybe?

That's a shame. It's such a great body of work. A pity it's not complete, but there's still plenty to be getting on with.

Perhaps somebody good enough might write out the 3 missing scores from listening to the mp3s one day?

Isn't that a common exersize with music students?

Who knows, when I reach lesson 28, even I might be able to do it! Or come back to it...

(I imagine there's some kind of score writing software out there, like an Office Suite for music?)

Looking through the thread here, I didn't spot the mp3s for sessions 1-13, so I've just fired up my old laptop and voila! (I don't have mp3 files for sessions 12 and 13 so I'm wondering if maybe there weren't any originally? I'll check the pdfs to be sure)

On closer inspection, I had only downloaded audio for sessions 1-11 (always have been better at starting projects than finishing them!)

To be honest, I can't remember... It was 7 years ago, and I've slept since then

After reading the available material through, I am amazed that the material is downloaded only in so small numbers. Good text, lots of exercises to anyone playing bass.
