I am a total lightweight. This popped up on the IEM thread and it looks like less hassle than carrying a board around so I am going to try it. http://www.woojer.com/strap/#StrapSpec

I just picked up the older version on ebay for £10 - the kickstarter edition. Its just a single clip on unit rather than the strap or vest. I just play and record at home at the moment, but I've got to say in that environment its surprisingly good addition (also great for just listening to music of course).

I haven't got any way to try this is a gigging situation, so can't say if it would work for that. My guess is that it would though - the thing is, you need this strapped hard against your skin for it to work - the chest position really didn't work well. Strapped on the belt works well. Seems odd that its so expensive (on the website) - wouldn't have thought there is a great deal of difference between this and what you find in games controllers.

It will come as no surprise to anyone that I did not actually build one. However, I recently picked up anEich Bass Board from Happy Jack. It is giving me IMMENSE joy. I played without it recently and realised how much I enjoy it. I can play at volumes which no one questions, but enjoy super LF action.

I was a Backbeat early adopter. There are all sorts of portability advantages to a backbeat. But the big Bass Board with double drivers is where it is at for me. I want everyone to experience it. It is essentially two of these https://www.amazon.co.uk/Douk-Audio-BS-1-Bass-Shaker/dp/B0F9KN762P/ref=sr_1_1?dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.cGvkT4Fcj-j_XkgPZA9rxeDwx5B3hTFbRg06HA36tvxJa_STNGLFwG0AtNDRydZrICABWZ5dXGEtuxEjceJPAGSjujMONeFRw7x6ytx_Oi75cvWPtJDdm63ogH5qTe9JgGPMm9YKuJLmD6JlzDTI1A.OoCq2CWh8y3yrMx9n-sf0NxnkZaNL9wy7_NvMk6zVKM&dib_tag=se&keywords=buttkicker&qid=1763928883&sr=8-1&th=1

screwed to a board with a cheap amp driving it. It cannot be rocket science.
