New Fender American Pros have turned up at Thomann

Recommended Posts

Don't quote me Paul, but I'm reasonably sure the Pro is replacing the standard.
Seem to remember there were a couple of improvements including MM style truss rod "wheel".
There's a long thread on here somewhere.

Found this too: https://www.guitar.co.uk/blog/fender-american-professional-series-2017/

Looks like they've just tweaked the necks and changed the pickups. But we lefties can get a grey Jazz Bass, hooray!

It's a lot of money to pay, they would have to be exceptionally well made or on a huge discount for me to consider. I recognize a few hundred quid of that may be down to currency dips this year...
The jazz bass in that colour was done out of fender Mexico in the mid to late 90s I think. Would be great for them to do something new in left handed, or just even something that's available in right handed, like the rascal bass. Just give us something different other than yet another black p bass, can buy that from encore!
