bobbytodd
I've started using effect pedals so I bought a kinsman pedal case https://www.amazon.co.uk/Kinsman-Ultima-ABS-Case-Effect-Pedal/dp/B001ELA2UW and some Velcro with sticky stuff on the back to secure the pedals to the board.but no matter which way I stick them down they always come loose. so any one any tips to help them stay put cheers rob
pendingrequests
what part of the velcro have you stuck the pedals the hook or the loop? The hook side is the sharper part of the velcro. The loop is the softer side. Is there any velcro already on the board?
elephantgrey
This Stuff. Replace the loop side on board, and hook side on pedals, leave alone for 24hrs before you fix the pedals to the board, I can lift my board up by 1 pedal with this stuff, and thats harder on my wrist than the velcro. markstuk
I drill holes in the bottom of my case and use cable ties.. Works a treat... Those suckers ain't going nowhere :-)
toneknob
The trouble I have is that the velcro bond (hook to loop) is stronger than the glue bond between the velcro and board/pedal. So in some warm-ish weather recently the glue got a bit melty and so pedals came away from the board leaving a double-layer of velcro (ie hook later and loop layer) still attached on one side or the other. (The velcro is that which comes with a Pedaltrain case by the way). Anyone else get this?
Lozz196
Yep, not too badly but mainly on pedals where the bottom of those is rubber, rather than metal.
rushbo
Another vote for cable ties. Not for everyone as it does involve cranking the drill out and my board was a home made wooden affair. Absolutely rock solid and easy peasy to move stuff around with some cheapo ties. Recommended if you can accommodate them on your board. Gottastopbuyinggear
This may be stating the obvious but storing the board flat helps, if you're not already doing that. I used to store my pedaltrain on its side in the bag, and the pedals would gradually slip off the Velcro.
skidder652003
i got some carpet squares for free from a local carpet shop and use those in the case rather than whatever it came with origionaly. The velcro on the bottom of my pedals sticks far better to this, Ive had the case 6 years now, never had a pedal fall off and I store the case upright.
