Well, it is my fifth...

I use another 5-string Tsai as my main gigging bass. I'd describe the sound as transparent - what you get through the amp is the sound of the string, rather than coloration from pickups and electrics.

Note that some people have had issues (mostly with the acoustics though) - my 7-string's pickups only actually picked up 6 strings, which was a bit annoying, and I finished up putting a pair of Bart 7-string pickups in. Worth it though. Other than that, I haven't had any issues with them.

im not a huge fan of block inlays. IMO they only look good on an all black fender with maple neck, black binding on the neck and black blocks.

i especially hate pearl blocks on maple fingerboards. its just wrong.
