Yes, they are an fx unit, but they are very performance-oriented because of the touchpad control surface (unlike your normal stomp/rack unit) allowing for real-time control of sampling, pitch shifting, modulation, etc. Used well they're very interesting tools. A friend of mine plays electronica and the full-fat version of the device is a huge part of his live performances. Not entirely sure why I'd want to stick one on the bass, though. Jonnyboy Rotten Posted October 27, 2015 Author Share Posted October 27, 2015 I was speaking to a guitar playing friend of mine about it and he said that Matt Belamy of Muse fame uses/used one on his electric guitar and he actually had the unit integral to the guitar to use for live performances.
