Six string advice - ESP or Hohner

On the slim chance that someone has experience of both these puppies, I have the choice of a Hohner VI B Bass in decent nick, or a spalt mapled topped ESP LTD B206 in excellent nick for the same price. In terms of quality and tone, which is more beauty?

Ive got the 4 string LTD B204 and it is a cracking bass and if the 6 er is the one thats for sale on here is the one your after then i dont think you can go far wrong, ive toyed with it myself but cant play a 5er never mind a 6 but have still been tempted, go for it and save me some money.

Haven't played a Hohner VI B Bass, but owned a B Bass V for a while. There's a lot of love for these on here and I found the B V pretty decent in every respect. The only thing folk tend to say is that the pre amp is a bit of an oddity, being (on mine) a small metal matchbox-sized unit. pretty effective, though - treble & bass boost.

Having said that, I've been deeply impressed with every LTD I've played.

No help, then. :)

I had the 5-string and it was also cracking - looked great, fast neck, good eq and tone options.
