I don't get how you might order a custom bass, wait months for it to be built and then stick it on ebay a year later - but I guess it keeps the builders in business.... [/quote] Getting a custom made is a tricky business in my experience. Even if you opt for all the specs you think will work or you think you'll like, it's not a precise science, and what looks great on paper doesn't always work - it's nobody's fault, it just might not turn out as you hope it will.
