NBD: Fender US Jazz '11, SB/maple

After almost 8 years of playing bass I finally got myself a classic American Jazz bass. I've had a lot of different Fender and Squier basses through the years, including CIJs and MIMs, but never a US made one.

I've always been a black'n'maple kind of guy but couldn't resist this one when I saw it. The original tort pick guard is probably being fitted again, though I have to say it doesn't look that bad with the 3-ply black guard! This bass is almost like new, the case still smells like new too! :)

It has been fitted with the lovely Custom Shop 60's pickups from Fender which I love! The finish and neck on these basses are so smooth I couldn't believe it. Guess I've been living in deny all these years thinking that MIMs are as nice as the MIAs... ;)

Anyway, some pics!

Niiice - welcome to the club.

Nothing wrong with MIMs or Squires, MIAs are just different.

Spot on! I still use my Squier Classic Vibe Jazz all the time. Still take it to gigs as a backup!

Thanks guys! :)
