I've recently had my #1 bass back after a prolonged period of fault/repair absence and, because there are loads of very lovely high end basses knocking about, I'm looking to sell or ideally trade some of my other basses with a view to getting something yum.

First up is this Lakland 44-60 in Ltd Edition Inca Silver finish with matching headstock.

These are exceptionally good basses which really nail the vintage jazz bass vibe but with modern features such as through body stringing and hipshot ultralite tuners. The neck is really slick and there's loads of bite and bark in the tone if you want it, but there's rich and mellow there too if you roll off the tone pot.

It's currently wearing a set of flatwounds for some old-school thump which it does really well.

It's superbly put together and is an all round great player. A few signs of use, including a minor ding on the back of the neck (which you won't notice when playing).

Looking for [s]£645[/s] [s]£595[/s] £575 ono.

Price is for collection but can do insured delivery for £600, don't mind meeting up if practical. I'm in Chepstow but gig all over S. Wales so Newport/Cardiff meets possible too.

Ideally, I would like to trade this alongside other basses, for something different.

Anyone who would like to try any of the basses out with a view to a deal, if you can get to Chepstow you're more than welcome.

PM me or e-mail me petewarduk at me dot com or call/txt on 07515929935

UPDATE 29/09/14

Bass is now sporting a new set of roundwounds and I played it all gig long Saturday night. It was outstandingly good. If it doesn't go in the next few days I think I will be withdrawing it from sale.

Other basses I have FS/FT

I don't suppose you know what the weight is, and how the neck on these compares to the neck on a Duck Dunn model?

Cheers

I do, as it happens.

The bass weights about 9lbs 6oz give or take an oz or two.

The neck dimensions are exactly the same as the Skyline Duck Dunn model (the candy red ones with bound and blocked fingerboard). The Duck Dunn model is/was a hybrid of a Bob Glaub body with a Joe Osborn neck, and then they made it all pretty with the red and the inlays and binding 'cause that's the way the Duck rolled.
