Should I buy an OCD/Fuzzrocious Demon type pedal?

I've got such bad GAS for an OCD type pedal at the moment, but really can't decide whether I should go for it, and whether I really NEED one! ;)

I currently have the following in terms of dirt:

Catalinbread SFT (newer graphic)
Darkglass B3K
Wren & Cuff Tall Font Russian
COG Rat Tail/Fulltone Bassdrive clone
Fuzzrocious Rat Tail
Turbo Rat

Is there anything that an OCD/Fuzzrocious Demon will do that none of those will cover!?

I'm on the edge and so close to picking one up, I just need someone to push me over or pull me back!...

ha, I'm in a sort of similar situation, pondering another (probably completely un-necessary) dirt pedal purchase!

I've got an old fulltone bassdrive, tall font russian, BB bass preamp and malekko diabolik, but used to own a stache, rat tail and OSD from fuzzrocious. I sold the OSD as, to me, it didn't really give me anything unique sounding. It sounded pretty good, just not different enough to the other pedals I had to make it worth keeping... though I occasionally think about getting a demon king :)

ss/bs mini is tempting me a LOT right now!

The OCD/Demon is a different circuit to all the above that you own, as such, you will inherently find a different tone, however how different that tone is can often depend on your ears.
I know guys who can tell the difference between OCD versions, and guys who can't tell the difference between a Big Muff & Tubescreamer.

Get the Joyo clone, fraction of the price and has more low end! I ordered one for £25 delivered from eBay, might be arriving today!

hmmm that IS interesting, the fuzzrocious OSD I had was nice but not as bass-ey as I wanted, joyo may be worth a punt then!

Whilst checking up the price I realised I didn't actually buy it! D'oh!

What I did was put a bid on this one which ends today and is currently £22.99: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/JOYO-JF-02-Ultimate-Drive-Overdrive-Guitar-Effects-Pedal-AMP-FX-Stompbox-/321333391477?pt=UK_Guitar_Accessories&hash=item4ad0f67075

I'll disclose that I bid £24 on it, so you'd have to bid £25 to get it, and there are others going for that much or less already - so please could you all refrain from bidding on that particular item? :D

Here's the search you need: http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_sacat=0&_from=R40&_nkw=joyo+ultimate+drive&LH_PrefLoc=3&_sop=15

The American and British Sound pedals are apparently very good for bass also. The American being a clone of the Tech21 Blonde, and the British, the, er, Tech21 British.

Another cheap pedal to look out for is the Earthquaker Devices Speaker Cranker. It's a one-knob overdrive, with just a gain knob. Unity gain is around 9 o'clock which gives a nice mild drive but has a lot of bite if you play with a pick. It kicked the Phat Phuk B out of the house anyway!

Thanks for the replies guys. Ha, I know what you mean Gaz, the temptation's always there! :)

I've tried the Joyo before actually and liked it, may pick one up. Slight concerns about build quality, but for that price why not!

Actually going the other way now, and eyeing up the Wampler Triple Wreck! Anyone tried one on bass? It even sounds good on MrExcane's demo! ;) ...

That Joyo Ultimate Drive can be had for ~ £18 shipped from UK here: http://www.donnerdea...fect-pedal.html

I think it may be PayPal only for payment (btw, it should be slightly cheaper using Paypal to pay in dollars rather than setting the currency on the site to pounds). Make sure you choose 'UK warehouse' unless you want to wait weeks for it to arrive from China. Mine came within a couple of days, although they did use Hermes, so perhaps I should consider myself lucky that it arrived at all.

Obviously people can spend what they want on whatever gear they want, however I would prefer to spend more money on a quality hand-built pedal from a family business over x-amount to a mass produced, Chinese factory built :)
That's in no way a snobby 'I only buy boutique' (I love my Boss stuff, but just saying in this instance :)
And the nice thing, want more bass? Contact Ryan and ask if he can do that for you :)
