Carpet tape - its double sided and very strong. Although I did give Mcnach some specialist tape from a contractor we use. Its VERY strong.

Indeed!

By the way, does the one you gave me have a commercial name? It's great and one day I'll want to buy some... and I can imagine the face of the guy at the shop when I ask for "Apa sticky tape" :P

Drats!! I had a word and they don't use it any more :( I'm sure I found out and told you but cant find it in any of our correspondence so unless you can find it amongst our emails it looks like it will for ever more be referred to 'apa sticky tape' which I wont be too disappointed in :D

I know I asked you... but I don't think I got an answer ;)

Ah well... I'm sure there are other products that will work perfectly, it's just that this particular tape was known to work really well. Thank you! :)

Mod approval sorted but I need to post up on the affiliates section. I cannot do much as I only have my phone due to travelling until Friday. As a luddite I don't know how to use the basschat mobile site to post links etc or to set up basschat discounts on my site. Will sort it over the weekend but in the meantime will do via pm.

Cheers
Rich

Most of that sort of tape can be softened gently with a hairdryer then prised away. You don't need to go mad with the heat.

the tapes I have come across they generally lift without any heat, just gently pulling at them. A final gentle rub with something like lighter fluid seems to remove all traces, if there are any left. I only had rubbing alcohol at hand once, and it removed it also.
