Thunderbird Posted June 8, 2013 Share Posted June 8, 2013 Hi I want to get a compressor now can I use any guitar compressor or does it need to be a bass specific compressor pedal? sorry if this seems a daft question but I am just starting on my effects journey and am still learning. Lozz196 Posted June 8, 2013 Share Posted June 8, 2013 As far as I know it doesn`t have to be bass specific, though I`m sure that one designed for bass, and as Tony says, dual band, will give more options. When I was on the quest for a compressor, our producer said he really rated the MXR Dyna-Comp, and that`s what he and his mates always used.
