Build your own!

Everything I can think of would cost more than that. Even if you look second hand!

Build my own?! What madness is this..

On a more serious note, how would I go about doing this? I should probably google it, one moment.
So I would buy a speaker and make the enclosure out of wood, I'm assuming..

Don't Hartke do some fairly cheap priced cabs? I'm sure I was looking at a brand new 1x12 on eBay before buying my Genz one.

I'll look into it, thanks.

How about one of these?

http://www.thomann.d...hdown_vs112.htm or http://www.gear4music.com/Guitar-and-Bass/Ashdown-LB-112-150-150W-1-x-12-Bass-Cab-for-LB30/DYG if you can find one

http://www.thomann.d...112_bassbox.htm

Or maybe one of these. Lightweight and within your budget but maybe a bit bulky for one handed carrying

http://www.thomann.d...eger_212mbe.htm

It would help to know what you're going to be using it for. Do you intend taking it on public transport or is the one handed carry just from your car?

Just from the car. Might be carrying it around quite a bit inside though.
The prices on that Ashdown VS112 make me very happy. :) Thank you good sir. Only 36$ for shipping too!

Cheap and Small never equals good.

Quite.

My backstreet penis reduction was a disaster.

The Fender Rumble 112 might be worth considering as well, though the 500w figure is peak - it's 250w RMS.
Hmm, maybe. The Ashdown is a bit more quickly available for me though.. (being cheaper) but I suppose I won't be able to use it for awhile anyway. Thanks!
Turns out the rumble is lighter than the Ashdown. This changes everything!

I don't think I'll want to build my own, I don't have any experience or any prior knowledge about the subject whatsoever and I would probably end up getting a bad sound. Hartke looks promising.

Check page 5 out on my Hartke brochure link. The product is streeting at about £300.
