I'd guess in the 4.2-4.4 kilo range but will confirm tongiht. According to my fairly unrealiable scales my guess was spot on, it range from 4.2-4.5 kg on the scales (which gives me a different reading each time I get on it!). [/quote] I just got a chance to A/B this bass with my ash/maple 535 - I'd say they are about the same weight, and mine is a shade under 9.5lbs in old money (about 4.3 kg). It's a very nice bass too (the pictures don't really do it justice!), but too similar sounding to mine for me to seriously consider buying it. Mark's bass looks a lot better though. I have a feeling we may have swapped straps as I now seem to have a comfort strap without straplocks on the bass. Are you missing a strap? shizznit Posted January 30, 2012 Share Posted January 30, 2012 Quite close to the same spec as mine, apart from the top and neck. Mine has a myrtle burl top and a one piece birdseye maple neck. I can vouch for the quality and craftsmanship of Mike's basses. You would have to flip a coin between getting an MTD or a Ken Smith...they are the best in the business hands down IMHO.
