The Masters at Work with Gene Perez.. no funkier a player

Im really into my soul house music.. especially Masters at Work..Gene Perez is the master at this ... a good ole standard jazz bass hes playing on this cut..

check out his playing.. its SUPERB!!!

I've been into this guy's playing for ten years or more - he's seriously killing, if a bit of an enigma - I know virtually nothing about this guy but he's got a unique way of laying down a groove but improvising really freely as well... very inspiring!

I love MAW stuff,.. but in truth I never realised how many of the tracks he may have done. Listening back to some of my faves again, same tone, same groove. Awesome stuff.

Simple line in "To be in Love/MAW/India" ... very cool.
