Ogien Posted April 20, 2011 Share Posted April 20, 2011 Hi All, I am Michal, originally from Poland, living and playing bass in Edinburgh with band called 'Basic Funk'. Band name pretty much explains what kind of music I am playing, however there are jazz-blues-prog-rock twists in that as well. I have been playing for ...let me think...about 10 years. What I am playing has been influcenced by many artist and genres, it evolved from prog rock and settled at jazz-fusion. Favourite one would be Miles Davis electro projects in late 70' to late '80. These are infulences only, which doesnt mean I can play like Daryll Jones. My modest list of gear: Squier jazz bass, with Seymour Duncan Quarter Pounders, bad ass II and Varitone electronics, Candy Red (it is red, dont know name of this finish exactly) EBMM Stingray HH, Honeyburst, Maple, Black Ashdown MAG300 + Peavey TVX410 It is a great forum with a wealth of knowledge and good sense of houmour!
