You'll be fine mate :)

Are you doing two peices or one peice and scales?

I did my grade 8 last year and a grade 5 "Band exam" in december with two friends which was a blast!
Thanks mate
Grade 8! Dam thats good. How long did it take you to get to that level?

I'm doing 3 peices out of the grade 4 book and scales, sight reading etc

I did my grade 8 a few years ago, completely ballsed up the sight reading and went to pieces a bit on the tunes so thought I'd probably failed but then I came out with a decent mark. You'll always get a much better mark than you think when you come out with your head in yours hands! Good luck dude!
I did Grade 8 back in 1997 I think. Not sure I could do it now!

When do you find out the result?
Results usually arrive about 10 days after the exam. I'm sure you'll have done ok. Let us know how you get on.

I'd been playing (I play everyday! and i'm quite musical, i know scales and read bass clef anyway from playing classical bass trombone which really helped i feel) about a year,

But as said, some of the pieces are very hard so don't let number 1/2/3/6/7/8 fool you!

I CANNOT slap to save my life, and the slap/funk/jazzy pieces are hard (at least for me, a mate of mine is a funk player an finds them fine and i play the metal/rock and some country ones (they are really fun!) like i say, everyone is different!)

I really enjoy sight reading, not sure why!

Best of luck either way though mate! I'm sure you did great!
