  1. I'm hoping to get hold of the bass later this week then I'll get something sorted
  2. Sorry for the lack of response, I'm not getting notifications through. I've listed on behalf of my mum so I'm not with the bass often but I can hopefully sort some samples at some point.
  3. Black Stentor Harlequin upright with case and bow, although as it was purchased used it may not be the bow that originally came with it. The bass is in Halifax but you can also try/collect in Sheffield. Blurb from the Stentor website: Features: Laminated spruce front Back and sides laminated maple Brass machine heads Adjustable bridge This is a robust economic double bass designed for rock 'n roll and slap playing styles. The front is made from laminated spruce, back and sides from robust laminated maple. It is fitted with quality brass quarter plate machines and a black hardwood fingerboard.
  4. I picked this up on here last year to give a shorter scale length a try, I've had a lovely time using it on a handful of gigs but I've got something else incoming so I need to make some room. These are really well reviewed; it plays and sounds great, nice and light, surprisingly good B string, super easy to cart around on a train and looks nice to boot. Fits in a Fender short scale gig bag which I'll include, collection preferred but I've still got the box it came to me in so can post if necessary.
  5. Bassix double bass banjo made by Alan Hatswell, purchased from Alan (I believe it was the demo instrument) some years ago and only seen light use since. It has a 3/4 size composite neck and a long removable spike so very adjustable height-wise, can be played acoustically or has a built in pickup. It's in really good condition overall with a few small scuffs, more photos to follow. From the original blurb: Play it like a double bass and acoustically it has considerably higher volume. Not enough for large gigs? Plug in a standard jack lead and connect to bass amp. The onboard dynamic sensors do the rest. It is now like playing an upright electric bass but still has the depth created by the acoustic drum. Constructed from composites with Remo skin, it is not really affected by climatic conditions (temperature and humidity) and is a go-anywhere play-anywhere bass. Suitable for all styles except arco (using bow) the sound both acoustically and amplified is amazing. Finished in white (drum) with black adjustable neck. For airline travel the neck can be simply removed making it possible to carry in a large suitcase (approx 30 x 24 x 10 inches). Maple bridge and Innovation strings give a tone similar to that of a vintage bass both acoustically and amplified.
  6. Apologies for not getting back to you, I'm not getting notifications through. Still available and bathroom scales say 10.5lbs so pretty average Stingray weight

  8. Correct on both of those 😊
  9. I picked this up on here not too long ago to give a Stingray type thing a try, but I think when it comes down to it I still prefer my jazz and I need to buy some other bits and pieces. Won't mind if it takes a while to sell though... This one was made in 2007, great condition for its age with one small paint ding on the back of the body and minor wear around the headstock. It's fitted with a Stingray Classic pickguard and comes with a TGI hard case, I recently had it set up and it's got a newish set of D'Addarios on. You're welcome to come and give it a play or meet up somewhere around York, otherwise happy to courier.

  11. [forgot to bump this for a few months, still available...] These are great budget cabs, just a bit overkill for lots of the smaller gigs I do so I've downsized. Comes with a high quality Hot Covers case, it took a couple of small dings before I got that sorted and there's a few round the bottom from tight car packs but nothing major. I stained the marks black so they're not very noticeable. Specs: 800 Watts, 8 ohm, 21.3 kgs, 29x906x906mm, Neo drivers, speakon and jack in, horn defeat switch. Ideally collection from York or I can deliver if you're not too far off.
  12. Mick sold me a cab in response to my wanted ad; he persevered through technological faff to get it sent nice and quickly, refunded a botched PayPal payment and has been a gent throughout. Top BCer, can't recommend highly enough.

  14. I'm selling my David Gage Realist, it's probably about 10 years old but fully functional and I think I've still got the original packaging somewhere. There's a little nick in the foil where it joins the cable as shown in the photos; it's been like that for a few years and hasn't got any worse and still feels solid. I'm up for trades for other pickups with cash adjustment either way, let me know what you've got.
  15. Selling my Zoom B3n, it's a little bit scuffed on top from the plug rattling around on my pedal board but generally in good nick. Comes boxed with original power supply. £100 + p&p
  16. I tend to burn through strings pretty fast so I've been using them on and off for years, especially when I'm not gigging much or for festival weekends where I'm going to kill whatever set I put on so it might as well be a cheap one. They do the job and sound ok, don't feel as nice as the D'Addarios or Ernie Balls I'd rather be using but one can't be too picky when they're 20% of the price.

  18. Posted on 15th June 2018. All good. Anyhoo, it's live, it's available, I'm happy to courier and it's this big: WIDTH 17.56 in. / 44.6 cm HEIGHT 23.17 in. / 58.85 cm DEPTH 16.61 in. / 42.2 cm
  19. Zoom MS-60B - also picked up on here after doing the rounds somewhat and picking up some battle scars, there's a fair few paint chips as you can see but it's in perfect working order. It's been a really useful 'catch all' single-unit sized box to have on my board. £55 + p&p MXR M82 (SOLD) - only picked this up on here a couple of weeks ago, it's great but I've bought too much stuff recently so I'll let it go before I get too attached to it. One small ding and a bit of rubbing round the sides but very good condition overall and comes with its box. £90 + p&p
