Fs/ft '96 Warwick Corvette Bubinga **SOLD**

Up for sale is a Warwick Corvette Bubinga made in 1996. It has a bolt on wenge neck with a very slim profile and has a brass nut. The pickps have been upgraded to EMG with a 3 band EMG circuit with sweepable mids, and a 3 way switch instead of a blend pot. Despite my reservations this has been fine and produces three great, very useable sounds. The Dunlop straplocks are also included and the bass is currently strung with D'addario Nickels.

There is some wear as can be expected from a bass of 14years but nothing that affects playability. Most notably there is quite a lot of wear on the rear of the headstock and the circuit cover is held on by electrical tape as it no longer clips on. Also the jack has been replaced, and although the replacement isn't the most aesthetically pleasing, I have had no problems with it.

I'm looking for £375 plus postage, in a Stagg semi-hard case, but I would be willing to entertain offers of fretted basses or maybe a 2x10 cab. Please PM with any questions.

Yer thats right it was Rasta's. Cracking bass but I've just got too many!

ah, typical...i've just bought a Stingray & Tobias Pro 2 days ago or would have had this back somewhere in the equation...i've missed this funk bass!.
Good to see the same inuslation tape that the owner before me had put on it too :) . All mods etc were done before my time but i do love that EMG set up, great tones.

Good luck with the sale mate...this is a cracker and the bass that changed my opinion about Warwicks for ther better! :)

Niiiice i had EMGs in mine before i sold it. Incredible hifi tones that cut through the mix live or recording, even when the eq was flat! even with a 15" combo lol Shame i can only justify affording one nice bass... sold it for the same price too!

Ahh, I recognise this, the one that got away... As the previous owner who sold this to Rasta, I can vouch for what a cracking bass it is! However, it wasn't me who put the electrical tape on, it was the guy before me! (He also changed the pickups and made the other modifications).

I sold my 2003 Streamer Jazzman not long after I bought this, the corvette knocked spots off it - it sounded dull and lifeless in comparison! Plus it has got the thinnest, fastest neck I've ever played. If I had the money, I'd buy this back in a heartbeat.

Hi Jon, i keep coming back for a sentimental longing wistful affection for ye olde Warwick, this is the first bass that made me feel like i could slap, well.... still badly, but better on this bass :)

Could i interest you in my Tobias Toby Pro & say £75? The Tobias is in superb condition and a really great quality made bass, plays a lot like the Warwick but not the same sound, perhaps more middle focused than the Warwick.

No worries if not, have a bump for nostalgia :)

Looks nice mate but I'm afraid it's not really what I'm looking for.
