I'm putting my Trace Elliot 4x10 up for sale on Ebay this weekend but it has no plate on it telling me the Ohms or Output.

People are gonna want to know these things obviously.

I know there is/was a website somewhere with loads of old Trace stuff and the specs but i cant seem to find it.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Its a mid nineties one, cube shaped with the red stripes across the front in between the top and bottom pairs of speakers if that helps?
Thats all i have to go on.

well, are you sure the speakers in it are original? The best way would be to take a look inside and work out the ohms from what it says on the labels, and how they're wired. There's plenty of material which explains that, and it's fairly straightforward really...

If you don't know the history of the cab, it's the only way you can be sure.

I hope that's helpful buddy.

Post pics of it. Your description can mean a lot of things. I'm no even shure you're talking of a cab or a combo :) . More seriously, there is a huge amount of TE owners and previous ones around here. With pics would be faster to get a reply and a more accurate too.
Cheers

Edit: from your first description i would bet on a 1048H cab:

300W @ 8 Ohm with horn attenuator

Is this the one?

Its like that one but without the horns and also its not hairy!

So y'know just like a standard 4x10 cab.

Its just a cab by the way, not a combo.

I will get some pics up tomorrow when ive got five minutes.

I believe the speakers are original as ive known both the previous owners (the last one used it as a coffee table!)

Thanks for the advice guys! :)

Hmm, are you sure its mid 90s?

That sounds more to me like a series 6 or older model before they brought in the tuning ports for the GP7/12 series.
I think the picture about is of the 90s era carpet covered models. Prior to that they were covered in vinyl which came out early 90s but had no red stripes.

I think you'd have to go back to the series 6 stuff and before to find a 4x10" with red stripes and no tuning ports on the front

GP7 era vinyl cover with tuning ports and no red stripe:

Series 6 era 1x15" red stripe, no tuning ports and vinyl covering:

MkV 1110 4x10" combo, vinyl cover, red stripes and no ports

yes..agree that this is an old model.
They did a job and will still do one but underpowered by today's standards.

I'd agree with the 8 ohms guess with maybe 50 or 60 watts per speaker.

In the advert, I would stress that you can't be sure on the spec and underplay it.
As long as you say you don't absolutley know..and are not trying to con anyone, this is in the buyer beware category.
I would be pretty grateful for 100-£150, IMV..could be wrong though.

Yeah,i'll be happy just to get some cash for it to go towards a 1x15.

I got it pretty cheap off of a mate who as i said previously had been using it as a table!

She's in decent nick for an old bird but the weight is just stupid!

I'm just gonna be honest in the listing and try to be as helpful as possible should anyone ask questions, its the reason i asked on here so i would at least have a good idea about what i was talking about.

Thanks loads for your help guys, i flippin well love Basschat!
