1. Isnt it great to see a british manufacturing company doing well, fingers crossed my Super Twelve comes soon
2. I have had a PF500 for a few months now and rate it very highly, I have had no cutting out issues either . At the moment I run it through a pair of TC BC212s, it sounds very good but the cabs start to get a bit muddy when the volume goes up to just above normal band levels (3 piece rock band), I have ordered a BareFaced Super Twelve so will report back when have tried it out . Before the PF500 I was using a TC BH500 with the BCs and while I really liked that rig I have to say it does not sound as warm as the PF, the BH has the edge on features by a long way but the PF just does the job with a minimum of fuss, as has been said, its easy to find the tone on the Ampeg, very user friendly, I do miss the presets and tuner on the BH though . One thing I am not entirely convinced with on the PF is the mid 5 way switch, I cannot really tell much difference between settings, of course it may be my cabs (or my hearing) that do not do the amp justice and allow the mids to come through, I would prefer to have a low and high mids EQ and forsake the 5 way switch, maybe the Barefaced will show off the mid switch to its full potential .
3. Its good to support british industry, I am waiting for a Barefaced Super Twelve T in that nice silver cloth, cant wait
4. I am awaiting a call with a date for my Super Twelve T, I ordered it two weeks ago so hopefully wont be long now, cant wait
5. They sound great, especially double-up as a 2x2x12
6. If its a BH236 then my GKMB210 with extension cab giving 500 watts must be wrong as well because my TC rig is more powerful
7.
I am selling two hardly used as new Ibanez basses due to the purchase of a new bass a while ago, both are less than a year from purhcase . First is a BTB770PB, stunning bass with through neck, poplar burl top which looks very special and active electronics with a 35" scale, plays and looks like new . http://www.nevadamusic.co.uk/bass/bass-gui...aign=googlebase Second is an EWB20WNE NT electro-accoustic with built in tuner, chorus and anti feedback controls, this bass is a 34" scale and is made with exotic woods and plays and looks like new . http://www.nevadamusic.co.uk/bass/acoustic...uitar---natural These are both beautiful and great quality basses and play incredibly well with buzz free actions as good as any bass I have tried, even my Fender Precision USA Deluxe 2011, both have strap locks, I will include a gig bag with each, I have attached photos from dealers as my camera is not the best, I will PM more photos if reqd but these basses are like new with no marks or damage at all . If interested please phone me on 07954 348907 Thanks
Some pics I took just now .
8. Ok, I am in Basingstoke Hampshire . The BTB770PB is £630 new so offers around £475 ? The EWB is £558 new so offers around £375 ? I bought both basses from the dealers I have linked, considering these basses are in fantastic condition I think they are fair prices .
9. I have the BH500 with the two BC212 cabs, brilliant sound and plenty of volume for my rock covers band with two guitars and a loud drummer, I would say that the power rating from TC is right compared to my previous rig which was a GK MB210 combo with GK MBE115 cab which is known to be loud at 500 watts with the extension cab, the BH500 is a fair bit more powerful and definitely much better sounding and far more versatile . As for weight, a bit heavier than the GK gear but not excessively, just eat an extra shredded wheat in the mornings !!

11. I would recommend the following mod to the BCs and any other cabs with rubber feet; Remove the rubber feet and fit Gallien Krueger cabinet corners to help move them about when loading or unloading, the rubber feet made life difficult for me as I had to keep lifting the cabs a lot more to position them in the car and when moving them at a gig, the GK corners allow a nice easy slide, I have to store my cabs in a low cupboard and have an inch to spare in height so this made a big difference as you can imagine ! http://www.beyerdynamiconline.com/Product....=100%2D0088%2DA
12. I agree totally, two 2x12s has a much larger area of 452 "sq opposed to an area of 314 "sq for two 2x10s, in other words, four 212s are not much smaller than six 210s so you should crush listeners chest more effectly Those BC212s do sound very good and are about the same weight as the 210 .
13. I have got a BH500 with the tw BC 2x12s, it is a very powerful and great sounding amp with some excellent features, its not too heavy weighing in at 43lbs for each of the the cabs, very versatile with the presets and the built in compressor, tube tone and tuner are superb . The only thing I did not like was the little rubber feet on the cabs, they make loading the cabs hard work as you cannot slide them into the car or on the floor, I took them off and fitted some Gallien Krueger cabinet corners instead and they make the handling 100% easier . http://www.beyerdynamiconline.com/Product....=100%2D0088%2DA
14. Thought I would post a pic of my BH500 with BC212s rig . I am very pleased with it, it can do so many different sounds, from the Stones to Lemmy with half a turn of the tube tone knob-amazing amp . The amp next to it in the pic is my GK MB210/MBE115 rig .
15. Yes, it has not sold yet although I have had a bid for £395, its worth a bit more than that and £475 is my reserve price, I think that is a fair price .
16. I am selling my GK MB210 combo with GK MBE115 extension cabinet .I have owned the amp from new since last april and the cab is a more recent addition . Both are in excellent condition and everything works fine, I have lined both cabs as recommended . These are very lightweight cabs, around 30lbs each, and when combined give 500 watts @ 4 ohms, this is a loud amp . I am looking for £475 for both including the power lead, speakon cable, GK instruction manual and original packagaging . This is a perfect rig for players with back problems or who just dont want the hassle of heavy gear any more ! 07954 348907 for details Thanks Graham
17.
Hope it works out for you. These look to be great deals.
I bought a TC Electronics BH500 with two 2x12s for £664 at Andertons in Guildford, great service, they got me the whole rig at very short notice . This is a big step up from my GK MB210/MBE115 rig in terms of tone, features and power . I have gigged it and my band mates were very impressed saying it drove them on harder as they could hear everything I was playing more than usual, this amp has some great features, the on boar tuner is excellent, the spectracomp, tweetertone, tubetone are nice but the real bonus are the presets, as easy as a car radio and great for selecting a different tone for different song styles, from hard rock to gentle blues with a push button, it also sounds fantastic with the two contour presets . This rig is extremely loud and articulate to my ears, as for weight, it is heavier than my GKMB rig but not too bad, the cabs are 43lbs each as opposed to 33lbs for the GKMB210, I just eat an extra shredded wheat the day of a gig !! These rigs are great value for the money
18. I use an MB 210 with an MBE 115 extension cabinet and think it sounds pretty good, very loud with great projection and huge low end, I have lined the cabs which has improved the sound as it was a bit too boomy, some 40mm egg crate foam stuck to the back walls has done the trick . For a lightweight reasonably priced set up its excellent.
19. I love the bass in `let the good times roll`, great stuuf http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jbnpAGFG27E
20. The GK MB series is pretty good and very lightweight .
21. I had my first rehearsal last night since buying my GK MBE115 cabinet and the difference it makes is unbelievable, since taking on a second guitarist (loud) my GK MB210 has been struggling for headroom, it was on 3/4 on gain, master and boost but with the cab it only needs 1/4 max now, it is VERY loud and powerful, more than matching the two guitars so that is £240 very well spent The rating has gone from 350 to 500 Watt with the cab but it seems much more than that, I could feel the air movement from the 15" on the back of my legs !! Best bit is I can carry both in one trip !
22. I love my GK MB210, especially as I now use it with a GK MBE115 extension cab, it sounds huge and is very loud, I can carry the combo and cab from car to stage in one visit even without the cab the combo is good, I have had the combo nearly a year, have put some egg crate foam on the back wall to smooth out the sound a bit, it was boomy but I now put that down to my Gibson SG`s humbuckers since I got my IBanez BTB770 with its more versatile EQ . Great product from GK
23.
£567 is a good price. Did you knock them down?
It was originally £630 but yes I did bargain a bit, they were doing 10% off if bought online before 1st January but I said I would not have been there if I had not seen the ad so they gave me the discount, they are pretty good at Nevada Music .
24. I have a Gibson 2009 SG faded cherry bass, it is NOT terrible, far from it . It does not neck dive at all, is very comfortable and plays very nicely, it has a very warm fat tone from its humbuckers and the short scale makes playing very easy for people with shorter arms . The only thing I would like to see on it would be a bit more tone range from the pick ups, it does not do treble very much, when you want those highs they are limited, other than that its great . It has a set neck and a 40mm nut width .
