1. Some interest via PM but no firm offers yet. Still for sale, don't expect any more price drops!
2. Bump with price drop. This bass is brand new, never gigged or rehearsed and barely played! That's got to be worth the new asking price!
3. Just had the FedEx VAT bill for this bass, so now there's a price drop. Would consider swap or P/X with a Washburn T14 or T24.
4. I've just had one of these delivered this morning: http://www.rondomusic.com/spjash.html It's a good value bass for the money but as soon as I pulled it out of the box I realised it wasn't for me. On the site it says it's 8 lb but it's actually 9.7 lb. I'm after a bass lighter than my current work horse - JV Squier P bass, 9.3 lb - but this is heavier at 9.7 lb. Rondo music don't offer a warranty outside of the States, so I can't send it back, even if it was enconomically viable. All told, this bass was £150 to my door, so if anyone offers me £120, it's theirs. Includes postage. This would make a good backup or upgrade project. Will put actual pictures of mine up tonight. Worth noting that some of the "perloid" material is coming up at one of the edges but it's pretty superficial and can be stuck back down.
5. What about Seymour Duncan Pro-Actives? Anyone got any of those they want to trade?
6. I'm after a EMG-PJ and I have an EMG-J set to offer in exchange. Only very lightly used, just have to solder the pickup wires to the pots and away you go. If I can do it, anyone can! The original wiring diagram is included. The home page for these is here: http://www.emginc.com/displayproducts.asp?...p;categoryid=25
7.
Have you got a drummer? because he isn't credited in your bio.
Nope; our guitarist programmed the drums with Hydrogen. We're currently in the market for one but we're in no great rush and have already done a gig with drums on a backing track.
I quite like it (not what I would usually listen to) Is your singer American? Oh check mine out http://orangeunsignedact.co.uk/acts/the-plan Insult to your hearts content
No, he's from the Highlands! Will check your stuff out now....
8.
It's not really my type of music, but I can imagine people will like it. The basslines are also pretty cool, not just hammering root notes. Stupid question: How do I vote?
I think it records each visit from a unique IP address as a vote of sorts. Or something. A comment or two certainly couldn't hurt, unless they were hurtful, of course!
Even stupider question: Is that one of those cool model lightsabres you have in your display picture? (You know, the full sized ones that even light up and make noises)
http://www.thinkgeek.com/geektoys/warfare/69de/ About £75 delivered, if I remember correctly. Worth every penny. Not that I'm a geek, you understand.
Pretty cool bass when you can hear it in the mix... snare is overpowering everything else by a country mile for my tastes Sinking it back a bit into the mix might bring everything else up a little...
Interesting. What did you listen to it on? I'm guessing PC speakers and it was actually mostly mixed with PC speakers and it sounded OK. It was a 5.1 surround system and admittedly had a woofer. Will take another listen. This is good feedback, keep it coming!
9. Hi all Please go to http://orangeunsignedact.co.uk/acts/raised-by-wolves and check out the tracks. While you're there, please vote for us! Please then come back here and give your opinions, observations, suggestions, etc. Be as candid and honest as you like, even if it's to say: "my 3 year old plays better bass". I can take it, I'm a grown up: 5 years old Drums done with Hydrogen, all instruments and vocals going straight into a Boss DR-1600 digital multi-track recorder and mixed/mastered on same. Cheers, Frank
10.
I've reopened this thread as Im also selling the Schecter Model T P bass. No point keeping it if it isnt being used. So £250 cash, no trades. I can supply this with a Gig bag so collection prefered.
PM'd
11. Wow, stunning! You've made some fantastic mods to this bass, that sting retainer is a great idea. I owned this until earlier on this year and it was really good with standard hardware and electronics. I would also add that it's really light and comfortable to play. I went the opposite way and went back to long scale. Not sure I made the right choice moving this on, TBH.... hmmmm. All those great mods for just £75 on top of what I sold it for. Bet just the Pups were twice that much. Veeery Tempting.
12.
Any idea of what price you're looking for on the Thumb? Is it bolt on or neck through? Cheers Alun
I believe it's a Dolphin, isn't it Ziggy? Same as the guy from Skunk Anansie played. I've heard this bass and it's a beaut. I can vouch for Zig being a top notch bloke too, buy with confidence. Zig, might be interested in your jazz, will text you...
13. The Fender Urge is a really good bass and very comfortable to play. Chris is a great guy to deal with, so buy with confidence!
14. Wondered who that lovely TBC went to. Was in the running for it but had to drop out when I was made redundant. By the time I'd got another job, it had gone. Still, if you ever consider selling it..
15. I'll take them if they're still available... Thanks
16.
Would also consider a trade for a fretless bass, or a Sansamp bass driver and cash, or maybe some other things, depending what you have! Maybe a Zoom H2 or H4 and cash?
PM'd
17. Played one very much like this for about 10 years! Mine had different electronics and bridge, though, yours look much better. Very, very light and comfy, although I've gone off the really narrow Ibanez string spacing. I payed £600 for it in 1992 and it was second hand! Goes to show the quality of these instruments (or how a naive youngster was ripped off by a guitar shop!) Good luck with the sale.
18. Damn, too late! If you change your mind, Hamster, I'd be glad to step in.
19. Could I have the Logitech Quickcam, please? Thanks, Frank
20. Had this about 5 years and it works perfectly. Goes to quite a high resolution (higher than 1280 x 800 but that's what I generally have it on) at a really high refresh rate (85 Hz). Quite bulky and needs collection from Enfield, North London / Middlesex.
21.
It is exactly the same as above, but it was manufactured in the company's China factory, that is no longer I don't honestly think there will be any difference what so ever between the two. I could try getting ahold of my brother's camera to get some nice high res pictures
If this is still available, I'll take it.
