Mrbigstuff

My cable, Klotz titanium, or something like that is repeatedly falling out of the jack socket on my warwick thumb. None of my other basses have had this problem just the warwick. I was wondering if its a common problem with warwicks? Also how much would it cost to have a secure one fitted and what options are avaliable? Would probably get it done at the gallery as their always great but just wondered what you guys thought

Hi guys i need to write an essay on a bass player and i thought since i was playing his stuff more than others lately i would give Jaco Pastorius a go. I was wondering if anyone on here has any old magazines with Jaco interviews/ articles that i could either have (will pay postage & a pint), can borrow or if they could scan and email me? I have already seen the guitar player article on the lucas pickford site but does anyone know any other good ones? Thanks in advance, Ollie

I'm finding my right hand "flamenco" fingernails make it easier btw although I am wearing holes in them through doing it! ficelles[/quote] yh iv found now that i was trying to "pinch" (not sure if thats the right term for the technique) the harmonic with too much force, but if you do it with the gentle touch it rings more clearly. A compressor or sustain pedal would probably help to keep the volume up though

just spent the last 10 minutes trying to get the 2nd harmonics on the birdland intro ... Still need a bit more practice Would love to know how he gets so much sustain out of the notes though. i think mines an 86 and i really love it! i bought it as a present to myself for workin overtime and then it became my main bass. i sold my musicman because it just wansnt anywhere near as good

it went up £400 in 5 seconds

if there was one you really liked the feel of but thought it was lacking in tone, dont forget you can easily switch the pickups

My 5 needs new strings and i want to get the tightest B string. Any recommendations would be great
