1. For sale is now my beloved Yamaha BB3000. It is two years old and a real player! Pimped with Glockenklang active electronics it realy is a stunning bass guitar. 2 band, push pull (active/passive) The bass has some little dings/dongs. Comes with case and org. electronics if you wish. (not built in of course) Price is 720,- GBP plus shipping. Will ship within the EU.
2. After having found a brilliant instrument in the BB3000 my life changed into the fretless world.. so I'm selling my BB3000 that I bought in 2010. It is a rare win red one. Not available in any shop any more! It plays like butter and sounds perfect, I wish I could keep it but I have to sell it for the new fretless bass. http://s10.directupload.net/images/user/100218/dxzum33u.jpg BB3000 in bright-bright sunlight: http://s11.directupload.net/images/user/100218/p7tk5au4.jpg In the meantime I upgradet it with a Glockenklang 2 band electronic (active/passive) and it is a missile now. It still has to go, now 850,- Euros inkluding the org. Yamaha electric circuit in the case.
3. I know what you mean and I deleted it! Sorry!
4. No, I am happy with the rest of my basses and the explorer is always alone in the living room :-) So I don't want to change for another bass, I need a lighter stack..my back...my cabinets are killing me..! :-)
5. It is passive if you pull the active/passive control!
6. Yeah, the vid is played by Germann Basses. But it has to be rocked... :-)))
7. Hi folks, being totally happy with my BB3000 I kind of "forgot" about the explorer - it is still in it's bag and was not played again. It is still available so if you need an extra special x-mas present for you....go for it. Price update: It is not 800 GBP anymore but will go for 800 Euros. That's 705,- GBP at the moment.....!
8. It's def. not a Jazzbass neck! But fast although! It is a light bass, very comfortable.
9.
Well, the only way to find out is to try one. That's harder than it sounds as, talking to Mark at Bass Direct there is very limited supply and he got the first three in the UK which sold immediately. He has three more on order and one is presold and I can't find anywhere else that has one. So, I reserved one that Mark has coming in and should be with me by the end of the month. Once I get it I will let you know.
I bought a BB3000 a few weeks ago - there are 40 (well 39 now) BB3000 on the german market at the moment. They started at 1900 Euro and went down to 1085 Euro! Gold hardware, neck through, a beautiful bass with killer sound! I wanted a BB3000 (like Tony Kanal was playing before the BB2024x) but it was only available in Japan. Now I finaly got one. fantastic sound, stunning looks! Plays like a hot knife through butter! Wine red.. I'm in love! :-)
10. Hi there, just in case there is someone out there who likes to own a BB3000 (not MA) - Yamaha sent a few of these cult basses to Europe (40 in Germany) They started at 1800,- Euros but now Musik Schmidt is selling them for 1099,- Euros. Available in black metallic and wine red. I did it! :-) I wanted a BB3000 for many years. What a great bass! I usually hate the Explorer shaped basses, but this just looks so playable!
It is ! I switched to passive basses so this bass does not fit in my stuff anymore.
12.
I love my VXL's dirty tones - from light grit to heavy tubey dirt & everything in between. I've not heard mine make the jar-of-wasps buzz sound at all. Mark
I tested the Hartke VXL, the MXR M80 and the Aguilar Tone Hammer last week. Test bass was a 3300 Euro Fender CS Precision over a Glockenklang BassArt plus Glock Take five cab. All boxes sounded good but I liked the Hartke best for its tube sounds! Wow, it makes a tube amp out of every transistor. The Aguilar and the Dunlop sounded more flat or clean, maybe the better boxes for recordings. But I wantet something for my live stuff. I love the sound of my set up (Trace MKV, old trace cabs) but I don't want to miss the Hartke since I own it! It was the cheapest box surprisingly enough. Try it out!

I'm not in the market, too many basses as is.... but just had to say I think the bass looks superb and seems good value at the price. Good luck with your sale. Andy
Thank you very much! The bass is 1 year old and I am not very happy with selling it! But new wishes sometimes force you to do crazy things...
