1. Hi, let me know if you decide to sell the GT10b. Cheers
I have had a ME50B, and still have a GT10B and Line6 M9 and Zoom multi effects - but never use them live and always use pedals. Its individual preference of course, but multi-effects seem to me to be "jack of all trades, master of none" For me it was a case of using the multi-effect at home to understand the sound I wanted, and then buying a dedicated stomp box pedal to make it sound good in a live environment. Best thing to do is give it a go....we are all different (thankfully!) Jim
3. Hi, I noticed when playing that instead of the bank/patch name displaying in the LED window there was scrolling of parameters. The sound didnt change but ad this with the guitar version and it was a fault that would require either the replacement of a controller or a whole new motherboard. Been looking for a GT10b to buy but not had any luck so wondered if there was anyone who can resolve the issues with my GT6B.
4. Does the ME50b have a latency when switching patches? Used to get it on my guitar ME50

6. So what guitar fx units are people using for bass?
7. How can you use cosm guitar amp modeling for a bass?
8. My GT6b is on the blink and there are several GT-10b units for sale on ebay from Japan. how are they still getting these when they are a discontinued product? My query is, they must be years old so wont the internal battery have lost some of its capacity or does it not come into play until it starts being used? Extortionate price too because they know there's not been a new Boss multi-fx for bass since. Would be great if there was a GT100b! #guitaristsgetalltheluck
9. I'm after a Boss GT-10b. I know theyve been discontinued but you can buy them from Japan on evilbay. Anyone heard of or bought from a company called Fantastic Japan?

11. ME50 doesnt allow more than one effect from FX1 or FX2
12. Thanks Noirbass but I'm a bit dim when it comes to techie stuff so dont understand that either...lol. I would have to sit down and work out how to assign the effects I want to a user patch and write. Our guiutarist has the guitar version so ive asked him to bring it along and see if I get on with it. I've just put up a post in Effects section asking whether its worth me buying a GT10b as they must be 7+ years old. My GT6B is a doddle to programme but I think its on its way out as I noticed the name change in the LED display. Read somewhere its likley to be the controller or battery.
13. Hi, the only multi-fx I've ever used is the GT6b. I love it and am familiar with how to programme my own sounds, use the tuner & have a manual setting so I'm getting the sound/tone of just my amp. Whilst playing I noticed the name in the LED display began to automatically change from manual to speaker and back again. Although the sound did not change I guess its on its way out. The ME50b doesnt look like it doesnt allow for the programming of my own sounds that can be saved in user banks/patches and I need that. I'm not technical so need a unit that is simple to use & will allow me to write more than 5 effects into ONE user patch. If I bought a GT10b second hand am I likely to get the same problem as they must be around 7 yrs old now? Cant believe Roland arent producing a GT100b. Any ideas appreciated.
14. Appreciate the reply but page 54 isnt exactly a simple explanation. I just need something on the lines of: Press pedal assign, select manual setting on bank 1, pedal 1, press write. Thats how simple I need it. :0)
15. Hi, How can i bypass the pedal to use the sound of my amp and the patches as as stompbox for effects? I can do it on my GT6B but this looks to be more complicated. Cheers

18. You posted the quotes below and then put up videos to show how to do a complete set up. I think they suggest a set up should be done each time you change the strings?? Even with the same gauges and same make and model of string you will likely need to do a setup. If they are a different make of string and still the same gauge then you are extremely likely to need to do a full setup. I rarely change strings but if I do I would do a setup.
19. I was going to say, I dont know anyone who does that. I do check my intonation regularly and its never been out no matter what strings I've had on the bass. I mustve misunderstood your post which said: I rarely change strings but if I do I would do a setup. I'd also redo or check the setup every now and then anyway without new strings.
20. What?? I need all those tools just to change a set of strings?
21. Hi all, I have 3 basses and have tried different brands and gauges over the past few yrs. My problem is I cant remember what I last put on my Musicman. Could be either of the following: 40,60,80,100 45,65,80,100 45,65,85,105 The local music shops have technicians but they dont have a micrometer or calipers to measure what gauge is already on this bass. One said it shouldnt matter if I use any of those gauges as there's not much difference. is that correct? Will the intonation be out or muck up the neck? The other said they would be able to give a rough idea. What?? I'd like to know how they can tell 0.05 of a millimeter difference!! No known luthiers in the area so any advice would be appreciated.
22. We have none in Southampton or nearby. If anyone can update on a Luthier it would be handy to know.
