1.
With that attitude you can expect to get no help from anyone on this site son. Can it, be pleasant or go and play with the traffic. I wasted MY time double checking the info on the Markbass website which details the depths of all their heads for you to answer your question. Something you could, and certainly should have bothered to do. I gave you a definitive answer to your original question, had you listened before snapping up the SKB case you would have known that a Gator shallow rack case WILL work, but instead you reply like this. You're a newbie, so I'll give you the benefit of the doubt, this once, be rude to me again and I'll certainly never bother to help you again, and you can continue to waste your money as a result of not bothering to do the simple investigation into the facts that you should have done BEFORE you spent a single bean.
In response to all your posts: You did not back up my decision to 'rack' my amp; you suggested I stick it in a flightcase with leads etc, which is not the same as racking it. I have not purchased anything yet to have 'wasted' any money so get your facts right. If you read my post accurately you will see that I did investigate the dimensions of the LM11 but as another BC member told me the SKB would not be suitable due to the minimal difference in depth I decided a post might provide further info. I am not 'stupid or lazy'; more like thorough in my research. I am not your son nor male. Unlike you I have not been abusive; it shows poor self control and lack of intelligence. My replies have been factual and straight to the point but maybe you are not familiar with assertive women. You do not have to bother with me again; I sure won't lose any sleep over that as you are i-n-s-i-g-n--f-i-c-a-n-t in my life. Have a nice day day.
 2.
Markbass has presented a dedicated rack case: http://www.markbass.it/products.php?lingua...=4&vedi=151 I don't know if they are available yet, though.
Don't think they are but have contacted Pete Murray on Talkbass....thankyou very much!
 3.
It wont get damaged, I was just concerned the rear catches would foul the back of the amp, but if you say your LMII is 10.1 inches, then you are probably OK as long as you don't want to store your cables in the back.
Hi, sorry to sound dim but I'm a newbie. Can you tell me what you mean by 'the rear catches might foul the amp'. Thanks
 4.
Please don't ask questions if you're going to be rude to those who try to help!
I get replies that are totally irrelevant, are nothing short of sarcastic and question/criticise my reasons for wanting a rack case and you tell me I'm being rude? As a newbie, I rely on those who have expertise on equipment and then can make an informed choice. If people can't provide the information I'm asking for, why respond to my post? It's a bit unfair on me to be given to misguidance or receive comments about what I choose to have in my set up.
 5.
Why not give Guitar Amp and Keyboard a shout (they've their own forum in "Affiliates" section). They sell Markbass stuff so will know what fits and if you speak direct to one of the guys (rather than order on-line) you'll know if its in stock and when they can get it to you.
At last, a sensible reply! I have already been in touch and given a price on new. I only asked the question on here because I saw a 2nd hand one going cheap. The seller told me it was not suitable because of the minimal depth difference between it and the LM11. Why are some people on here always so awkward ? Why do they bother responding if they have no useful contribution to make? Ah, I know....isn't it something along the lines of the name of a person who hurls pancakes in the air? Work that out for yourselves.
 6.
None... isn't the whole point of having a small Class D amp is that it's small, light and easy to carry around in a tiny gig bag? Why would you rack it?
Coz I want to. Bags have zips that break a lot easier than catches and a hardcase will offer more protection in the band van and in pubs where beer gets chucked around....lol
 7.
OK lets clear this up. I have an SA450 which is listed as being DEPTH 11.9 in. / 30.2 cm, which fits easily into a GATOR 2u or 4u SHALLOW rack case with an inch or so to spare. The LMII is listed as DEPTH 10.1 in. / 25.6 cm so it WILL fit.
That's because the Gator is 47.5cm depth, which is more than the depth of your amp by 17.3cm ! The difference between my amp head depth and that of a SKB is less than half an inch (or 1.3cm)! Did you do Maths at school?
 8. After being told the SKB for sale on here would be fine, the seller tells me it's too shallow. I could very well have bought something that would be absolutely useless to me so PLEASE be accurate! Thanks
 9. I don't normally leave the cables in the back of the head but if you are saying my LM11 would get damaged then I guess it's good advice. Shame because I would've bought it today. Not my lucky day!
 10.
Err get a standard 19" 2u shallow Gator or SKB case and the rack ears for the LMII???
Thanks for a reply but I've been told someone on her who's selling the SKB that it's not suitable as it is less than half an inch bigger in depth than the LM11 and the head could get damaged by the end catches. If he's wrong I'd like to know.
 11. LM11 is 10.1" depth and some poster on here told me any 19" 2U case would be fine, especially the shallow SKB being best one to get because if the case was too deep I would have problems getting the leads into the back of the amp. So I don't understand. I sure as hell don't want to buy something that my amp head won't fit into so perhaps you could advise? Cheers
No, the rack has 10.5" available depth, and the LMII is exactly 10.5", so you'd have to unplug it all every time you moved it, and theres still a danger the rear catches would foul the amp.
13. Is there anyone on this site who makes rackmounts for these heads? Don't want the Markbass bag.
 14. Doubt if you'd get that for it. I just bought brand new from Andertons for £469. It's also on Reidys at £499 and 2nd hand one on ebay in a Markbass bag with speakons for£400 and had no bids. Price has dropped since its been made obsolete.
Hey I have a Markbass LMII, in very good condition (has recently been checked by a pro as well and is in fine working order) and I'm half tempted to get an F1 or LMK head, just becasue I fancy going a bit more hi-fi, but sticking to Markbass. Just want to know how much I could get for it. Paulie is selling an F1 on here for £470 and if I could get enough from a sale of my LMII, I might go for it... Cheers Karl
15.
http://www.soundslive.co.uk/product~name~A...ay~ID~12596.asp Ex-display Ashdown LG1000, puts out 500w from each 4ohm output, £219. Will fit in most gigbag pockets too!
Thanks but looking for one dirt cheap as a back up around the £100. Probably won't get it on here; maybe local ads or ebay. Cheers
 16. After all the advice on here and other sites I have just purchased the following: Schroeder BMF 1212 40hm Cab Markbass Little Mark 11 Now that I have this lovely light rig, I want a back up head rather than take along my cumbersome combo. Needs to be mono so no bridging is involved for my single 4ohm cab. Any suggestions? Please remember it is for back up and having shelled out nearly £1,500 this past week on gear, I need something dirt cheap.
 17. Being 'blonde' I was referring to the fact that I'm pretty 'dumb' about bass gear as I have just taken up bass and joined an additional band so needed amplification. I've played in a band for 5 yrs as a guitarist so am familar with the equipment; what's hot, what's not but can tell you that I do most of the lugging of gear, not the guys. After all the advice on here and other sites I have just purchased the following: Schroeder BMF 1212 40hm Cab Markbass Little Mark 11 Total cost new with warranty £975 I will be playing my Ibanez ArtB100 & Ibanez 5 string active basses through this neat little rig. What d'you think?
 18. Ok guys, give me your opinion on a couple of things I'm quite interested in spending my hard earned dosh on: Either: Schroeder 1212L (angled) and Markbass LM11. Cost £1,050 or Schroeder BMF 1212 and Markbass LM11. Cost £944 Bearing in mind none of my band's instruments go through the PA, will either rig be more than adequate in a backline situation. For such a small cab, will I need to put it on a stand as no doubt one or two of us will be stood quite close in front of it? Cheers for replies.
 19. Had so much advice that my head is spinning! Please comment on this head and suggest a single cab (4ohm): Hartke HA3500 I want a rig for small to medium sized gigs; capacity of 50 - 150 people. We play Brit pop, light rock and UK chart music (no heavy rock, thrash metal etc). I don't want two cabs but do not want to have to shell out again for an upgrade because I'm not cutting through. Be gentle on me, I am female, blonde, already have decent earplugs and am new to bass gear. Thanks
 20. Or this: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...e=STRK:MEWAX:IT
 21.
if you make sure you've got enough speaker area pumping air around you should really need to worry about cutting through. I'd say that around 400/500W will cut through in nearly all situations with a 4x10. 2x12s should work too. Probably the only thing to avoid would be (for instance) a 1x15 by itself or a 2x10 by itself. However a 2x10 AND a 1x15 would be fine in all likelihood As has already been suggested, going by what it for sale at the moment I'd say a Little Mark II and either a Schroeder 1212L or the Big One LMII+Schroeder= £765 LMII+Big One= £960 So probably the Schroeder combination as it gives you some dosh to play with if you want anything else. EDIT: Plus since the Schroeder is 8ohm you could spend the £235 on another 8ohm cab if you want to deafen people
Well if you read my post you will see I don't want to be humping about two cabs., just one. The barefaced big one says it 6ohms which surely is not compatible with an 8ohm amp? If you think a 400w with a 4x10 cab is ok then do you think this will do the job: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...e=STRK:MEWAX:IT
 22.
Sorry but I don't know what this means, but a bigger amp (you don't have to run it on 11!) gives you more headroom so I guess I don't agree!
If the speaker can take the output of the amp that's fine but I'm talking about pure clean sound that cuts through in a live performance with clarity as opposed to earsplitting volume.
 23.
Buy used definately my fried... And i wouldnt bother waiting for the new TNT, in my oppinion the tnt range has got worse (and heavier) with every offering... the old ones are great.. we have the newest ones in the studio i work in, not only do they sound a bit rubbish but i through my back out carrying one because of how stupidly the handle is placed....
These new ones are the lightest on the market! Anway, having looked into it further the 300w RMS at 4ohm so won't be sufficient.
 24.
I'd go for these whatever rig you buy
I didn't ask about earphones and already have them. Would be more helpful if you stuck to the topic.
