1. Another bass from my collection I would like to offer for a sale. If the others would sell, I will keep this one. It is 1993 made Japan Fender single coil Precision bass, co called 51RI. This one is very rare model (at least I have never seen similar like this). These basses from early 90' were sold on Japanese market only and there are several differences compared to later models: - light blonde colour (not "school bus yellow", this one is much more like the originals) - factory installed Seymour Duncan SCPB-1 pickup - much bigger string thru body ferrules - no extra cavity under pickguard - no problem tu use the bass "naked" - high quality large (Gotoh?) potentiometers (it is not possible to use CTS sized pots on newer models - cavity modification needed) Bass has a lot of honest players wear, she has been played. See photos in gallery, I tried to make picture of everything but will try to make another upon request. Perfect technical condition, playability. All 51RI line models are discontinued today and prices are increasing a lot these days. This one is great early example. I owned Fender CS 1955 Pbass, sold it and kept this one. I currently installed original Fender chrome covers to make her complete, see last picture. Bass is located in Czech Republic and will be shipped for £620 within EU. 2. Thanks a lot for all compliments. I would consider trades, but only for some cheaper 4 string instruments (fender-style) with cash going my way. Send me a pm. Thanks. Just to add an answer to one of the PM - weight is right 9lb on digital bathroom scale.
3. After long time of thinking, I decided that I have to sell the best jazz bass I have ever had. Family needs are just much more urgent than owning expensive basses now, you know it. Bought this bass some time ago here BC from Maciej, original sale topic is here: http://basschat.co.u...9-all-original/ What we have here is original Fender Jazz Bass from 1969. Alder body, 60' pickup spacing, maple neck with rosewood board, inlays and binding. Everything on the bass is original, see pickup and pots date. I took complete bass apart to confirm everything, even the soldering joints look original. She just have new frets - bass was obviously played a lot and there is a reason. Technically everything is perfect - neck is straight, truss rod turns both ways, pickups are very powerful, setup and playability is great. Bass has plenty of checking, wear, scratches, dings.. The only thing which is not perfect is G tuner shaft, which is bit bended. Never affected function, just wanted to mention all details. Looks fabolous. If you want all original 60' Fender with cool honest wear, this is for you. Bass comes with original Fender case and chrome pickup cover (don't know if original). I will be happy to answer any question or pic request you may have. Check my feedback here on BC. Bass is located in Czech Republic. Price is £2700. Huge pics gallery here: http://gdavidak.rajc...Jazz_Bass_1969/
4. Just got this one in a trade, I was very curious about how true are all these compliments for this new American Vintage series basses. And they are right to the last word. It is nearly the same bass as my original 1961 Pbass, in terms of playability and sound as well. Fender specs: http://intl.fender.c...color-sunburst/ Bass is in great condition. Previous owner made a complete EU tour with the bass (over 50 gigs), so there is a lot of small scratches and dings on the bass - nitro finish is very thin on these. I would say it is perfectly run-in - you don't have to worry about the bass so much. See pictures, I tried to catch all. Bass was set-up by Robert Neuszer (founder of Neuser guitars) and has great playability. Original (also used) hard case is full of never used case candy - strap, flatwound fender strings, tags, manual etc. It is just perfect and georgeous looking Fender Pbass, palyers bass with honest wear. I am located in Czech Republic and bass will be shipped within EU for £999. I will be happy to answer any question or pic request you may have. Just bought Tecamp Puma from Will. What a great transaction! Will is perfect and communicative person, we made a hassle free overseas business. Thanks a lot, amp plays just great!
17.
I've played this when it was in the UK - all of us that had the pleasure would concur that this is without doubt one of the finest J types around. The neck is unbelievable - as close to a well worn-in 60-61 J as you'll find. £1400 is a joke IMO - if I had the dosh it would be long gone
Thats right. I think it has to be mentioned here, that the bass body is ash, not alder, like mentioned in first post. Anyway, when it used to be mine, I made several pictures here: http://gdavidak.rajce.idnes.cz/Lakland_US_Joe_Osborn
18. Just sold Warwick bass to Seb. Very nice and smooth deal overall, thank you very much!
19. GL JB: And recently original plastic knobs added:
