1. Kind of sounds like our local open mic night Still, a moment in history....
2. No but I once performed a gig where the guitarist dressed as a bunny girl - lets just say the gusset wasn't designed to hold walnuts. I've never seen someone leave the stage faster
3. If you're getting motion sickness all the rather than just the day/ morning after taking methotrexate then you should definitely get it checked out and look at options - that's really not a normal response. MTX has been about for about 50 years now and while an effective immunosuppressant there are done far better options now. If you're dead set on MTX you should st least get your consultant to review the dose. All the best!
4. You should probably go back to your GP/consultant and get your medication changed - there's lots of different options for RA medication these days so if you're getting these severe side effects then get them to change the drug. If it's methotrexate then ask to be put on one of the biological alternatives, humira or enbrel etc. If that isn't an option investigate vestibular rehabilitation therapy to retrain your inner ear
5. Do windows key+R Then type eventvwr hit return Look in the system log, under windows log for any errors - might give you a clue
6. Really?? You can change strings now?! Whatever will they think if next. My RS66s are almost broken in after 10 years...
7. Here you go - touch up kit near the bottom of the page - http://barefacedbass.com/product-range/T-shirtsandspares.htm
8. They sell repair kits on their site
9. I inherited a huge boxful from my grandad after he died - there are some exceptions with rare disks I'm sure but the amount each is usually worth is a couple of quid from what I could see. I guess as it was the only real music medium at the time and and so popular they made bloody millions of them!
10. Now on ebay so on hold for the mo
11. Price Adjustment as I'm clueless
12. I always forget that! I'm in Epsom in Surrey, happy to travel a bit for anyone that wants to meet up
13. Hi another one I didn't think I'd ever sell but the band needs a new PA! Barefaced Super Twelve T - frankly the best cab I've ever owned; it's simply astounding. Here's the details from Alex & Co... We're proud to present the Barefaced NotA410 aka the Super Twelve To be honest we didn't expect this cab to be quite this good. But it's awesome! Anyway, doubtless you're wondering how we can claim that our new 2x12" is a 4x10" beater, especially as every manufacturer worth their salt has a 2x12" or two in their stable. So what's different about our betweetered 2x12"? Well we've managed to achieve all those 4x10" pros whilst avoiding the cons. Vertically aligned drivers result in the best possible horizontal dispersion so your bandmates and audience hear the same tone as you, and minimal floor and ceiling reflections to muddy your tone. Our low distortion tweeter is positioned high on the baffle to maximise audibility. Huge woofer voice coils and high gauss motors result in the highest thermal power handling and midrange sensitivity of any 2x12" on the market, in fact this cab can play easily as loud as the best 4x10"s! High excursion drivers mean the Super Twelve can produce more lows than any conventional 4x10", even those from notably high priced boutique brands. That's that Vd thing we talk about in the techy section. The carefully tuned large cross-section port gives you yet more support in the lows with minimal compression and port noise - this cab can move air! Hidden inside the cab is a complicated bracing arrangement which keeps the lows and midrange clean by minimising panel resonances at relevant frequencies. Asymmetric driver positioning, bracing and damping results in maximum midrange and treble coherence and clarity. Custom designed high order crossover results in very clean sweet treble even at high SPL, with an adjustable attenuator so you can tweak your highs just like an old school 4x10". Sounds perfect! Well, nothing's ever perfect but we believe this is our best compromise cab for many bassists. Specifications: DIMENSIONS 30" H x 19.5" W x 13.5" D 76cm x 48cm x 34cm WEIGHT 40lbs/18kg (Super Twelve) 42lbs/19kg (Super Twelve T) BROADBAND SENSITIVITY 102dB - louder than many 4x10" cabs USABLE FREQUENCY RANGE 37Hz - 4kHz 37Hz - 22kHz (T) RECOMMENDED AMP POWER 150-1200W RMS MAX CONTINOUS BROADBAND SPL 130dB - Louder than most 4x10"s and many 4x12"s NOMINAL IMPEDANCE 4 ohms GRILL OPTIONS Black steel or silver cloth (+£50) PRICE Super Twelve - £760 Super Twelve T - £870 It's been well used but works perfectly - couple of dents and scratches but you can get the paint kit from Barefaced to make it perfect again for a tenner if you're fussed - I've priced that in accordingly. Postage will be about £40 ish I should thing - I'll have to source some packing as well so it may take me a few days if you want to go down that route - International buyers please PM me. thanks Bob
14. Hi Here's my Akai Unibass UB1 pedal - pretty rare these days and bloody excellent, I didn't think I'd ever sell it tbh but the band needs a new PA - £175 sounds right maybe? Its in about as new condition as you'll find, original box , and the pedal looks as new and works perfectly with main adapter etc. It's a great useful and subtle effect and sounds brilliant if you send the effect channel to a proper guitar amp. For those that don't know what it does: The UB1 allows you to add an octave above whatever you play on your bass to keep the rhythm sound full while your guitarist wails away on lead. You can also add a 5th above (or a 4th below) the octave to retain the feel of guitar 'chords' underpinning your guitarist's deft pyrotechnics. Furthermore, you can add distortion to the harmony to complete the illusion. Operation is simple. Set the controls as necessary and, at the appropriate moment, engage - your bass will not only drive your band along but it will also generate unison and/or chordal guitar accompaniment filling the hole left by your guitarist's solo. Add an octave above what you play so you can simulate the sound of bass and guitar playing in octaves Add a 5th above or a 4th below the octave sound Powerful distortion for the sound of an overdriven guitar Separate outputs allow you to route direct bass signal to a bass amp and effect signal to a guitar amp https://www.youtube....h?v=Y0_CL9ilEuc I'll include UK postage - international postage please ask thanks Bob
15. Have a look at Fenders new ones as well - great reviews
16. Just use a standard plug and pack it out with heat shrink or tape. The wires will be hair thin though
17. One more push and you'll reach the heady heights of Dunstable
18. I bought one just after Xmas when I was thinking of making a bass - it's ok actually nice rosewood and profile - nut looks a bit cheap and the heel profile isn't quite a perfect match for a Fender socket but nothing a bit of sanding wouldn't sort. Never actually tried it on a body as I gave up trying to make a guitar but looks alright to me. I expect it will be appearing in the assorted musical bits for sale shortly
19. Should think so - I asked for a standard P bass body with a back rout Thanks Bob
20. Hi I bought this a couple of months ago and have used it a grand total of three times but I can't get on with it - works fine great clear sound but I still feel too detached for my liking Anyway all as new with the exception of the earphones as I doubt whether anyone is interested in a second hand pair of those (eeww!) so they're not included but any will work with it. Now £180 posted
21. Hi well after 2 years I've finally come to the decision that I'm never going to have time to make a bass so I'm putting the bits up for sale. Here's the body - a single piece swamp ash from guitar build, cost well over £200, rear rout and through string modern fender bridge drilling, has a standard fender neck pocket. It's It's 1.7kg / 3.7lbs so will make a 8-9 lbs bass depending what you screw on it apparently. Currently finished in about 8 coats of Tru-Oil - it's not a perfect finish but the wood looks amazing. Anyways, £120 posted ? I'm based in Epsom if anyone would prefer pick up
