  1. Theres a couple in America at the moment going for about £250 - both cream and theres a couple of other RB Roadstar basses going there as well. I was looking at them until the UK one came up. There was one in North Yorkshire on ebay a couple of weeks ago too. Pickup only so think it only went for less than £50.00. Looked in good condition too.
  2. Just got myself both an active and a passive RB850, both black. Lovely basses

Oh I wish I had the money. I love a precision shaped neck but won't play a fender so this would be perfect. If that lottery ticket comes home to roost ....
  5. Trade plus cash my way (we can haggle a bit for a GUS G3 Retro http://basschat.co.uk/topic/230190-gus-g3-retro-active/page__fromsearch__1
  6. Any idea what the difference is between the 2013 version and the 2014 version apart from the Gibson anniversary logo at the 12th fret??

  11. I can see an extreme break angle on a fender but on a Gus it's a gradual curve over a ball bearing, nothing like a traditional bridge at all. If it can't do that then how can it be wound round a tuner without breaking?
  12. Truss rod not an issue - carbon fibre coated neck with carbon fibre truss rods - not a lot of movement there. I assume they just don't like being bent Back to Rotosounds for me
  13. GUS guitars are only through body but it's nothing like a traditional bridge and there's no sharp or acute angles. Think I'll stick to Rotos though. Cheaper, easier to get hold of and supporting workforce in this country too
  14. Because of everything I've read on here about La Bella strings I thought I'd change from my usual rotosound flats to La Bell's seeing as they are supposed to sound so much better. They might but I never got the chance to hear seeing as the E string broke during the first song at a new bands first rehearsal. I've played rotos for years and this has never happened. Before anyone says my bridge has sharp edges, I play a GUS G3 which has smooth, ball bearing bridge saddles. At £40 a go I can't afford to try La Bella's again for exactly the same thing happening, so I'm back to Rotos. Has anyone else had this problem or was I just unlucky?
