  1. No idea where they’d gone. They are there now
  2. I don't know who originally made it but I've had it a couple of years and added a Thunderbird neck. It's had a Rickenbacker 5 string pickup, so will need re-routing for another shape. Has a KiOgan wiring loom and the cavities have copper conductive tape. Paint job - not good - Halfords finest put on too quickly and not sanded down. Top is finished with a vinyl wrap (which doesn't hide the paint inconsistencies underneath). Great if you want that 'Rat' look.

  3. Squier Vintage Modified active Jaguar 5 string bass The previous owner did the following: Fender USA Hi-Mass bridge (will also come with the original bent piece of metal) Fender USA Noiseless Jazz pickup I understand the Precision pickup is a Fender USA one but don't know which one. I removed the Fender USA decal from the headstock and just stuck a skull/wings decal with my year of birth. I also stuck some red tortoiseshell vinyl over the black scratch plate.

  4. Dunlop Cry Baby 105Q Bass Wah Bought a few months ago (on ebay for £105) for a band that didn't happen and it's just sitting here and I need the money.
  5. Have a look at Warman pickups too. Great pickups for about £25
  6. Made in Japan Metallic black 9.6 lbs / 4.3Kg 24 frets Rosewood finger board Frets in good condition JBE P/J pickups I had the electrics changed to a Glockenklang 2 band preamp a couple of months ago as the original was temperamental (it is included. If you know what you are doing with a soldering iron you might be able to get this back to original spec). I also had added a volt light (small red bulb) that comes on when the battery is beginning to fade. Some chips but nothing major Pointy headed goodness It’s the first bass I’ve ever had that just ‘hangs’ right. No reaching with my left hand. Right hand placement is just ‘So’. I’m only selling as I’m having financial difficulties and I’m not in a band, so it has to go.
  7. Remember, I'll have that 4004 back if you ever decide to sell. It's one of those big regrets having had to to sell it
  8. Made in early 2000's in Korea. I converted it to a 5 string but the extra hole could be plugged (or left open to add to that 'rat' look) Has studs instead of wooden screw holes (bolts included) Will fit the Explorer body I also have listed. If you want to keep it as a 5 stringer I have a 5 string bridge that fits this string spacing perfectly. Let me know if interested.
  9. I bought this from McNach a few days ago for a bass where I thought the preamp was knackered. Turned out it was just a bad solder, so I don't now need this. This is the 4-knob version, with black knobs. It's designed for 2-pickup basses. The output of each pickup can be adjusted with two internal trim pots, ensuring perfect balance. Semiparametric mids, passive tone control, active/passive switch, bass EQ frequency window is user-adjustable (low bass 20-80Hz, high bass 40-200Hz), flat or pre-shape (slight mid scoop with boosted low/highs) options... Check full specs here: https://www.east-uk.com/product/uni-pre-4-knob/?v=7885444af42e It costs new £220. Selling for £150 which is what I paid for it. This has never been installed. I only took it out of the box to take measurements.
  10. I would also simplify what you are playing. Unless it's a prog-jazz piece of music, stick to root notes / 5th's as much as possible. No need to make life more complicated than it already is/will be. And also, not to diminish your playing, but the audience wont be listening to what you are playing. If it's a cover they'll be listening to that in their head anyway and remembering your brother and thinking how wonderful you are for doing this in the first place.
  11. If you want fuzz this will give it to you in spades. A few marks and some velcro on the back but otherwise it's in good condition. I'm having a clearout at the moment as I haven't been in a band for a few years now, otherwise I'd be keeping it. I'm afraid I can't find the box but it will be packed well when posted.

  12. I’ve just bought this back after having sold it a couple of years ago, but my wife’s car needs money spending on it to get it through its MOT so it has to go to pay for the repairs. Body: chambered alder with flamed maple top and back Neck: 21-fret (plus zero fret) hard rock flamed maple with rosewood fingerboard, blocks, and vintage white binding Scale length: 34" Headstock: originally matching, it was subsequently refinished by JP Guitars, Bristol. Nut width: 45mm Tuners: Hipshot USA Ultralites Pickups: Delano PC 5 AL/M2 (neck) and JC 5 AL (bridge) Controls: Volume, volume, tone; push-pull on the tone for both pickups in series. Bridge: Gotoh 205B-5, 18m spacing (it was originally a Hipshot when I had it). Weight: 3.585kg, and perfectly balanced - a real pleasure to play. Strings: LaBella flats Fender hardcase Some info from the previous owner that I would not have noticed or known about if it wasn't pointed out -> It also arrived with stripped neck screws; these have been replaced. Truss rod works correctly in both directions. N.B. Maruszczyk truss rods are clockwise to loosen and anti-clockwise to tighten (i.e. against convention). There are a couple of small marks on the body, one of which has been painted over (see photos).
  13. Probably a 5 string double bass, Maruszczyk Jake PJ 5 and my own creation, a RickenExplorerBird 5. Ashdown ABM500 and Eden XLT410
  14. It says it's an EastCoast but it is identical in every way to the Stagg version, so I assume they were made in the same factory at the same time. Very good condition. Comes with arm rest, stand, case, bow and roisin. Since injuring my hand earlier this year it's too difficult for me to play now, so I'm hoping someone else can make use of it. Type: Electric upright double bass Size: 3/4 Top: Solid maple Neck: Solid maple Bridge: Ebonized hardwood Nut: Plastic, black Machine heads: P-bass style, diecast, nickel Electronics: Volume and bass control Low battery indicator 3.5 mm (1/8") stereo mini jack input for phone or MP3 player 3.5 mm (1/8") mini jack output for headphones 6.35 mm (1/4") jack output Accessories included: Gigbag, bow, roisin, stand Colour: White/Cream

  15. You sold it to me as well, but can’t remember who bought it from me. Sorry.
  16. I’m afraid it’s mine again :))))
  17. I think that might have originally been mine but when I had it the headstock was matched to the body - the next owner had the headstock stripped back to natural. If I had the money I'd have it back straight away. It was one of those 'why did I sell it' basses. GLWTS
  18. I've had one of these. One of those 'regret I sold it'. So wish I could afford this. GLWTS.
  19. I had one for a while and I'm afraid I sold it because it felt and sounded 'too sterile'. I know that is a subjective feeling so I hope you enjoy yours.
  20. Looks like 4Kg on the bathroom scales.
