  3. Well I agree, of course haha! I was never a huge fan of wood pickup casings, but this is spectacular in the flesh
  4. Ash is a credit to the bass gear buying/selling community! Communication was a breeze and the cab I bought arrived well packed

  6. Looks like an early build based on the front handles. Mine had the later wider handles and I bought it new in 2006. I still think these amps have never been bettered, including the DB751. I'm with you. I'll buy another in future, but just not for regular late night gigging!
  7. George has been a pleasure to communicate with and does not delay in replying. Payment was agreed and completed very quickly. And a GREAT guy and bass player
  8. Celebrating the 30-year partnership between Yamaha and bass legend Nathan East, the BBNE2LTD is a limited edition version of Nathan's signature 5 string bass featuring an exclusive eye-popping pewter finish, black nickel hardware and Nathan's hand written signature in the electronics plate. It's a limited run of only 50 basses in the world. Featuring neck-through construction, the two-octave neck is built from maple and mahogany with an ebony fingerboard inlaid with figured abalone. Matching mother-of-pearl tuners complete the look. The unique BB body is made of maple and alder for a fat sound with plenty of definition. The BPZ-7 bridge features individual, machined saddles that provide precise intonation, a low profile, and an elegant look. The stacked Alnico humbuckers run through Yamaha's 5-control active electronics, which feature a custom 3-band EQ with a switchable mid-cut to provide sonic versatility for any situation. 9. Miki is a pleasure to communicate with. We came to a mutually pleasing agreement very quickly and my bass arrived safely and as described. Cheers, Lawrie
  10. I had serial number 342! It was black. I had Martin Sims put green LEDs along the neck edge. Wonderful bass!! So powerful too
  11. I was pleasantly surprised, and they really inspired my playing when recording. Just a pity I need roundwounds on my 5s when gigging
  12. For sale is my beloved Fender CS Pino Palladino Precision Bass. 2010 build. Bought through the guys at Bass Gear 6 years ago. It's in the same relic'd condition, with an additonal small dent under the strings near the bridge. The paintwork hasn't been affected by it. Currently strung with Ernie Ball Cobalt flatwounds, but for nostalgia, I still have the original Thomastik flatwounds the bass left the factory with, which I'll include. Details and specs can be found in the link below: http://www.fendercustomshop.com/series/artist/pino-palladino-signature-precision-bass-rosewood-fingerboard-fiesta-red/ Extra images can be found by clicking Photobucket link below: Click here to see more images (Photobucket) http:// It's an amazing bass. Mellow and soulful even with roundwounds, but I find it responds best with flats. Lovely chunky but comfortable neck. All the original accessories and Certificate of Authenticity are included. £2700. I'm based in Fife, Scotland. About 45 minutes drive from Edinburgh. No trades thanks. Please contact me with your location for a delivery quote.
  13. These strings were fitted to a Precision bass I purchased recently from a fellow Basschat'r. They remained on the bass for a few days before I put roundwounds on for particular gig.
  14. A set of Dunlop Flatwound 5s I had on my Moollon Jazz-style 5 string for a solitary recording session. Used for that day only then removed and kept covered. I don't have the box sorry!
  15. Bought my '64 Fender P-Bass from Kevin. A pleasure to communicate with from the beginning, easy to get a hold of, nice to chat to and an honest seller. I'm very happy with my new acquisition, and to have connected with him. Recommended!
  16. My first 'high level' bass was a 1990 SS1. I wish I'd kept it and refinished it like this! The hardware looks amazing against this finish. Beautiful instrument and I think a very reasonable price given the new prices of Warwicks, regardless of the work carried out on it. I wish you a quick sale
