  1. Might be a good idea to just take it in stages. 1 ,That VR400 amp is unusual, only has line in, and line out, plus speaker connections. Check that it works by plugging in speaker, and use a pedal ( something like a Sansamp ) to get enough signal from your bass to make sure it works. Never run this amp without speaker connected. 2, The ah600 is a dual channel amp, needs speakers connected to both channels. try it with your bass , as normal. Personally, I would not run that amp without speakers , JIC. 3, Then , when both are working, I would try to link them. My memory of the AH600 is vague ( although I could look at mine tomoz ), but I seem to remember there were various options to get a signal out, DI out, line out and effects loop. take a pic of the back of your amp, let's see what the possibilities are for you. Mind you, if you get all that working, you could play the 02 arena,

In the right circumstances, a well maintained 60's B15 is just such a joy to play. Was never designed to go up against Marshal stacks ! Mine hums a bit , at the 'mo, so I need to check it out, but I use it's little brother, the SB12 at open mikes with acoustic guitars. I have put a deltalite in the cab, so the efficiency helps. Just Magic ! I do have other amps, if I need more volume ! Horses for Courses. And there are modern clones available, if reliability is paramount.
  3. Ok, When you so "on ", do you mean it still made music, (plus the growl ), or just growled ? So there maybe two versions of the B15n, one had a single fuse on the back, apart from the mains fuse, and the other version had 4 fuses ( plus the mains ) . First thing ,when the amp is unplugged , is to check the fuses, if it has the four.
  4. Hi Old Man Riva firstly, congratulations on your choice of amp ! First place to start, there were two versions of the B15 Heritage, the first was point to point wired, then Ampeg made the Heritage B15n, which was pcb based. Any idea which one you have ? Next question, did any fuses blow ? Mike.
  5. might be worth checking out Trinity Amps " Trip Top ", Similar to Heritage B15 circuit, and looks the part !
  6. Yessir, still available
  7. Putting my " handmade by Ashdown " all valve CTM-30 up for sale. ( pics to follow ). Great amps, not heavy so a good way to dip 'yer toe into the charms of owning an all valve amp, without the weight penalty . Brilliant DI, so if you do get "the big gig" , plug into the PA and all sorted. Recording at home ? Just the job ! Would prefer covid aware collection from West Sussex, where Amp can be trial'd. Mike.
  8. HI Tom, Thought I still had them , but can't find them , at the 'mo. I'll keep looking, and let you know if I do find them. Best Wishes Mike.
  9. Hmmm, that circuit diag looks like the power amp only, should find another 12ax7 in the preamp. apologies, I'VE BOOKED MYSELF IN TO SPECSAVERS !
  10. Still on hold , gentlemen
  11. While I'm pretty sure it would be fine with any amp , powerful enough to drive it, I have no experience with Laney amps, so was hoping that someone else would chip in here . must be some Laneyites about !
  12. Ah, Didn't know that ! Just checked, and this pair has gold writing, Mike.
  13. hi, to the best of my knowledge the Nordstrands are the NPJ4 , not sure what I can add to the Lace P Pickup info. they are direct replacements for a Fender P pickup, but use shorter mounting screws. I have a pair in one of my Fenders , and love them. .They are wired in series, with a green screen wire on each half, which should be connected to earth. mike.
  14. On layaway 'till mid May !
  15. Original finish ? Yep, you couldn't fake it !
  16. Hiya, yep, that's the one ! was my go to bass for quite a while, great looking, and sounding , bass, but most of all , a joy to play. not too mark bass minded , me, prefer old stuff, but we'll stay in touch. Brst Wishes, stay Healthy, mike.
  17. Thanks hellzero, I'll check the pots. Hi Binky, pic for you.B........ To tune, though !
  18. Update 26" long 14" wide 14" high ported, worked well with the trace Elliot speakers I had in them , so good opportunity for someone to lighten the load on their heavy , old, trace Elliot 4 X 10 combo.
  19. I run an old 70's Ampeg V4 cab ( sealed , the smaller , probably guitar, one )) with my valve Amps. Modern speakers in it, though. Not as heavy, or unwieldy as a 6 X 10, and the sound is worth it. mike.
  20. They're at work, will check tomoz. from memory, best guess, 26" long, 15" wide 15" high Best Wishes mike
  21. Yep, 16" wide, 8" high 11"" deep, weighs about 10 lbs , inc cover, and I reckon most of that weight is the case !
  22. I have two of these Dynachord 2 X 10 bass cabs, no speakers or handles included, but free to someone willing to collect, weekday, daytime from Ferring, near Worthing, in West Sussex.
