  3. Now selling my Acoustic 320 amp, with it's matching 4 x 15 408 cabinet. All original, not restored , and , unusually , in very well kept condition. Bought 10 years ago from the original owner, who purchased it new circa 1976. I've enjoyed owning the rig, but probably only taken it out once ! While large, cab is easy one man lift ( slide ) out of something like a VW Sharan, and , providing there are no stairs, easy load in. will get some current pics. Will also be listing my immaculate 220/406 rig, and other Acoustic Control bits, as age is getting the better of me ! cash on collection only from Worthing area, where rig can be checked out. Mike.
  4. No Longer For Sale. This was Kiwi's Trace Elliot V8 that I bought from him 6 or 7 years ago . Plenty of info and pics of actual amp if you search " kiwi V8 " in amps for sale forum. Seem's it may have always been owned , and cared for, by fellow Basschat members . I'll avoid the use of superlatives, has always been well looked after . If you have to ask how heavy it is, it's not for you ! Selling due to my advancing years. Will also be listing my V6, V4, VA350, Quatavalve, Hexavalve and other TE bits as time goes on. Pics to follow. Cash on collection only from Worthing, or Chichester, where the amp can be tested. Mike.
  5. Don't forget the Ashdown 550 spyder ! Simple, and brilliant preamp coupled to the ABM output stage
  6. I have one of those BT15 heads, quite nice sounding, not very loud, but get b....hot in use. No eq buttons. same circuit was used for a combo,SVT15, or SVT75 , I think. they got really hot in use, too.
  7. Absolutely spot on ! Old Acoustic stuff, up to 1980/81, is where the Magic is. Pity you're so far away.
  8. Someone went to an awful lot of trouble to do WHAT !
  9. Hi Bob, Apologies for late reply , not ignoring you ! I'll contact the guy who asked me to hold it, check what the situation is. Best Wishes, mike.
  10. Yep, Thomann were showing stock of these today, So I had to buy one. I do have a 360/361 rig, so will be able to compare ! I also have a 70's V4b, so there's a pattern developing here . Where will this end ?
  11. Well, Just finished populating my turret board, and starting to solder. , However , don't underestimate how long it takes to gather all the various bits you'll need , and the cost. Def makes that trip top look like a good deal !

  13. checked my old trace preamp today and only two of the pins are used, on the xlr input. might be worth checking if yours is the same.
  14. trouble is, I was only looking for my TRACE V8, it's in there ,somewhere !
  15. Not sure what's happened there, with those pics !
  16. I sense the need for a B15 shootout at the next basschat bash ! Paging Mr Beedster, I'm sure he could advise on sound, having owned one of the new reissues with the 64/66 options.
  17. re the SB12 circuit. Ah, but there was a later version , using 6l6gc's, however, it doesn't use octal preamp tubes, either. Neither does the B15S in that comparison
  18. Anyway, I blame my spell-checker !😀
