1.
And even longer to get this.
Great bass, but I've always thought that was Stevie's left hand on a synth? Or is it underpinned by a bass guitar as well?
 2. Are we on to covers already??? (but that Gene Harris was wonderful ) Totally away from the flow, but still a great cover version... (check out Flea's pants! ) and now, back to the program ...
 3. Top thread! As I'm sitting here, trying to cherry pick Stevie tunes out of my vinyl / CD's, I've put on 'Songs In The Key Of Life' and got no futher! (quite a moving video, someone has compiled)
 4.
please post your favorites via Youtube..
Woo hoo! I'll play ...
 5. Hi Jamie, it's nice to see another, fellow North Walian on the forum.
 6. It's nothing fancy, but I always enjoy the (electro) acoustic bass by the Violent Femmes ... Recorded version ... Live version ...
 7. Hello! ... See here >>> http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...mp;hl=resonator
 8. Billion Dollar? It looks more like a prize from a 'penny falls' arcade pusher ...
 9. Lalo Schifrin - 'bullitt' ... Curtis Mayfield - 'superfly' ... Roy Budd - 'carter takes a train' ... (yeah, the bass doesn't appear till 0.39s, but well worth the wait!)
 10. OK!!! I'll stop now! Personally, Cubase originally introduced me to the infinite possibilities of DAW control, via plug ins etc and I got everything I could lay my hands on and went mad with them But, I soon realised that the probability of learning to master all of these programs would have taken many lifetimes. Now, I've really pared it down to some decent hardware and now limit my own software usage, because I feel more 'in control'. It's both hardware and software, but 'Native Instruments - Maschine' tickles my muse at the mo.
 11. The O'Jays - 'for the love Of money' ... Sly and the Family Stone - 'if you want me to stay' ... The Fatback Band - 'wicky wacky' ...
 12. EDIT: you nipped in there BassBus, great minds ...
 13.
I've only just caught up with this performance on the i-player and speaking as a huge traditional blues fan, I can only share my pleasure at yet another joyfully raucous, foot pumping, grin inducing show stealer from Seasick Steve and look forward to hearing the second track tonight. As for JPJ, his bass sounds mighty fine on my system - (possible 'speaker issues' ?)
I had previously listened on my studio monitors and sub, but having just listened to the extended edition on the TV's speakers, I can fully agree that the bass sounded like a frogs fart in a pond full of wild geese
Isn't he Country Blues for people who buy CDs from ASDA?
That made me giggle. But whether you rate him or not, surely the inclusion of any blues artist, nestling on the racks alongside Scherzinger and Spears, should be something to celebrate?
I kind of admire SS's schtick and self-invention

Seasick Steve is often revered on music forums on account of his authenticity, a characteristic which I find expertly affected ...
..... as this secretly filmed footage of him leaving the 'Australian East Coast Blues and Roots Music Festival' clearly proves ... I'm certainly not going to enter into a debate of any blues artist's authenticity on here though, as there are many forums out there already where the discussion of this topic will rage for all eternity. (Edit: for clip)
 15. Speaking of John East and P-Retros, I posted this at the 'dusty end' of the forum last night and would love to hear any opinions and advice please - topic Edit: sorry to hijack your thread Healthy.
 16. But Johnnie's pleas of "please don't touch my face, I've got a photoshoot in the morning" didn't hold much currency with Paul Gray...
 17. Hold on tight!!! This guy is taking it to a whole new dimension .... iiiiiit's NEO!!!!
 18.
Pete Steele, frontman/bass player of Type O Negative; died aged 48 last year, sadly, but was 6'8" and built like a brick shithouse.
But wait! the beautifully sly vixen Grog has him under her seductive spell, she wraps her latex clad thighs around his neck and he's down!
 19.
He'd be fighting from beyond the grave, but I reckon there'd be few who'd make better undead; and having met the guy back in the mid-90s, I can confirm he was a f***ing MOUNTAIN of a bloke:
Jesus! Who's that?
CHEAT! He's concealing a weapon!
20.
Here's the light weight contender but nobody seems to want to get into the ring with him, they just seem to be covering their ears and in so doing, letting the guards down.
This kind of 'sonic warfare' was banned by the United Nations in 1989 as 'pure evil' and the Clutterbuck is disqualified!
 21.
Burnel and Watt Roy retire to have their burns looked at.
But Lemmy just thanks Gene for lighting his cigarette.
