    I'm certainly no expert but I do own a 69 Jazz, taking the photos at face value the bass looks reasonable enough, the only thing that would make me slightly anxious would be the height of the saddles to the bridge?

    Yes I do, the scratchplate is in good condition just the usual fingernail marks on it, to be honest the bass has been kept in its gigbag and hardly used since I've had it. I'll do my best to get a picture up later today but I do have new band practice later. Hope this helps

    Cheers Rob, it is a beauty and I very nearly didn't list it as I prefer Jazz dimensions (but can cope with both), it just seems a tad excessive to have 2 Black/Maple StingRays (according to Mrs Thor that is!).

[/quote] I know what you mean - the pics don't really do it justice either. The neck really is quite flamed/dark in places, almost to the extent where it's bordering on looking like birds eye Maple (I'm not suggesting it is birds eye, but it is very dark in places and has that whole birds eye thing going on to some extent). To the best of my knowledge it's had no additional treatment but looks stunning and plays incredibly well. Compared to my SLO which is also for sale this is much, much darker.
