1. I don't really want to part with this but needs must😞
2. FWIW I'm in the goldilocks camp too, I've recently started doing the Geddy Lee flamenco thing in the 3 piece band I'm in, initially I just chucked it in to add a little to the attack (not all the time - less is often more).
3. Hi All, Up for sale is my Aguilar Octamizer, fantastic octave pedal which I really do love, this is the lipped enclosure and is in very good condition. Looking for £110.00.
4. Hi All, Up for sale is my Korg Pitchblack pedal tuner in very good, used condition. Great, reliable operation/display, in case you're not aware these will mute when in tuning mode. Looking for £35.00
5. Hi All, Up for sale is my Electro Harmonix (Sovtek) Tall Font Green Russian muff pedal, it's built like a tank, so I may need to check how much postage will be on this one. Typically it's battery door is long gone but that doesn't affect the operation of the pedal - which sounds huge! (Almost as big as the pedal itself) As you can see it also shows evidence of the typical flaky paint issue associated with these pedals - but I think that adds to the mojo!
6. Hi All, Up for sale is my Aguilar TLC compressor, it's in great condition and is the newer, unlipped type Aguilar enclosure. It does have velcro on the base, I can remove if you wish. Looking for £110 posted to mainland UK.
7. Hi All, Up for sale is my well gigged but perfectly working, good condition Dunlop Bass Wah pedal. Not much to say about it really - we all know what it does, in good condition, no box. Postage included to mainland UK - £55.00.
8.
Gig bag included? Fender Hardcase like the '74 AVRI I'm selling Collection from [s]a different timezone?[/s] Wiltshire? Tea/Coffee & biscuits could be in order! My good lady doesn't normally let me have biscuits!
9. Well I hope your Limelight sells soon sir! I'm surprised it hasn't sold already tbh, was going to list my Surf Green bitsa Jazz but think I'll hang on a bit longer.
10.
This is a lovely bass. I tried one out last year and it felt awesome in the hand, very custom shop-esque. Plus they'd cured the weight ills of the earlier non-road-worn ones. GLWTS
Hi Sean, thanks for the positive comment - this really is a joy to play, nice lightweight (I used to have an earlier MD that was a back breaker), great action and certainly whilst the neck is "chunky" it feels a much better profile than the earlier version also. I know the Roadworn isn't to everyone's taste, but the neck feels nicely played in and I believe Fender used a Custom Shop '59 style pick up in these.
That is very nice indeed. What is the nut width and neck profile please?
Hi there Karl - it sure is a beaut! Fender state 1.59" or 40.4mm at the nut - having just measured it with a steel rule I can confirm this measures a tad over 40mm but would say less than 40.5mm, I can't be any more accurate in this light! Sorry! Hope this helps. I'll have another go in daylight and report back if I think any different. Neck profile is stated as a C profile, although I'd say it's more like my '68 P (which is a B profile). I know the early version of these were like a baseball bat - this isn't. Thanks, Pete
11. Next up for sale is my 2013 Fender '74 American Vintage Reissue Jazz Bass in Olympic White, as you will see it's got a maple neck with Rosewood/Blocks/Binding. I bought it new ( ) in 2013 from Andertons, it has been gigged but as for all my gear, it has been well cared for. It comes in a Fender G&G hardcase with all the original bits and pieces, the bridge and pick up covers have never been fitted, the bridge mutes are in the case as is a new set of Fender flats, 2 case keys, owners manual etc etc. The bass is in excellent condition, the only tiny mark on it is just on the bottom of the headstock (under the A in Jazz) - I've tried to photograph it but it's quite difficult for the camera to pick it up - just being honest! Here's some pics: I have other photos if required but for some reason the orientation of them is wrong - like the last one? Please pm me and I can e-mail to you if needed.
12. Hi All, It's with a heavy heart I have to offer this Mike Dirnt Roadworn P Bass for sale. I bought this new last year from GAK, they're currently retailing around £1066 - yes I know they're expensive and have read the threads on here, but I was in a much better place financially last year! Wait until you see the next listing - I'm sure to get some stick!! So here's my 2014 Mike Dirnt Roadworn P in Blonde and Maple, these are made from Ash and have a lovely nitro finish to them - also, no garish signature on these models, just the star marking on the neckplate. It weighs in at a very lightweight 8.3 lbs (on my bathroom scales) and is a joy to play, it comes complete with the Fender Hardcase and candy etc, if anyone wants pics (of case etc) I'll have to upload them later as the case is in my rehearsal space. Anyhow, here's some pics: Price is firm (at the moment), I'm also thinning the herd generally and depending what sells first, may withdraw this from sale.
13. Bump to rejuvenate any interest - still can only play the basics as the strings are too close for my fat fingers!!!
14. Hi All, Price Drop £450 I'm offering up for sale my Sterling Ray 34 which is in excellent used condition - I wouldn't be selling this but have a Black/Maple Stingray incoming as part of a trade, so as part of my strict one in one out policy (new for 2015), this has to go....it sounds great and the 3 band EQ is equally as good as the EBMM version on my SR5 (IMO). It has plenty of low end grunt, hissy highs and plenty of gritty mids on tap. It comes complete with a SBMM very well padded, fur lined gig bag and is currently sporting Dunlop Straplocks, Grey Pearloid guard and a Hipshot Extender (I have the original machine head too which will be included). Price is firm given the Hipshot/Straplocks/Guard and it's also just been strung with a new set of Rotosound RS66LD 45-105, and is set up beatifully. I'll even throw in the strap if you like! Anyhoo, here's some pics: So if you want a bass that looks, feels, plays and sounds like a Stingray at a fraction of the cost, here it is! £475 collected from Wiltshire or can post for an additional fee.
15.
I went through this same thought process and sold my DB751 in order to downsize. I bought a TH500 but became frustrated that I couldn't get the 'Aguilar sound' out of it. So - guess what - I bought another DB751!
+1 I did the same with my DB750! I'm now using another 750 and 2 DB112's which give plenty of performance and I'm once again a happy bunny! Could be interested in the 212 though
16. That Jazz looks seriously sweet - and a great price to boot! Tempting to sell something now to free up some funds....
17. I'm looking forward to playing at Warminster later tonight, it's a well known army garrison town and has been known to get a tad rowdy - mostly when Sadie, the landlady ( who's about 5 feet tall in heels), ends up physically throwing the peeps that get too rowdy! Fair play she runs a tight ship and doesn't take any messing from anyone! She's sctually quite sexy when she's getting bossy!😳😊
18. I reckon he took inspiration from Warwick for the headstock "design", either that or couldn't decide and just lopped it off.
19. So is the truss rod adjustment at the heel? Not clear to see? GLWTS😊
20. I pm'd him when the thread was still relatively current (08/11/2013) - it had sold!
