1. thanks guys, you're correct--i'd have slapped myself if it'd gone. it is a beautiful bass in all respects + i has a little sentimental value too,a very good freind of mine sold me it & he's in his 60's(if you catch my drift) so i really need to keep it. in fact if i ever offer it for sale again some one call me a twat
 2. nice collection,i've just tuened propper green.
 3.
wow, sure is preddy, but thats a truck load of dosh for a mid 70s P!
+1 but if you're happy with it who cares enjoy it mate.
 4. lovely old jazz, not to beat up either--i hate 'em when they look knackered.
 5.
This is peachy.... Luv the wood.... Bet this sounds well growly with that MM PUP... Enjoy!
cheers, it sounds absolutley ace. the more i play it the more i love it,massive range of sounds & more punch than mike tyson
 6. i dug this out of its case at lunch time & man it's gorgeous, just made me smile so i'm going to keep it now. thanks for the interest guys,i've replied to all PM's t thinks. all the best
thanks Chris, very kind. i guess i really fussy about which basses i buy,if it aint a good 'un i'll not 'ave it.
 8.
I want this bass....please put a price on it for me so that I know that I can't afford it - will put me out of misery
LOL isn't GAS ace. ok i paid £850.00 for this a year ago so i want £750.00 for it now which i think is a fair price for such a nice bass go you can afford it it's only money
 9. 2002 U.S. vintage reissue P bass in sunburst, with origional hard case & astray/pickup covers. very good condition with just 3 very minor paint chips. this is a lovely bass & plays/sounds just like a P bass should. it's strung with Ernie Ball group IV flats which suit it perfectly. i'm not exactly shure how much it's worth so make me a sensible offer & i'll think on it. cheers, art'
 10.
I bought one a couple of weeks ago. Sound, feel and appearance are all fantastic. However, it suffers from the same problem as other active Fenders - the preamp is a bit all or nothing and I have Audere preamps in my other two Fenders and the passive style tone is so handy. Reckon I might have to get the preamp in this one upgraded. Audere also offer passive switching on the modular preamps.
i like the preamp on this,it's the only active bass that i've liked the stock preamp on ,but if i fall out with it i'll check these out. the passive switch would be a bonus though. cheers.
 11. hi,after making a rash purchase on saturday (see gear porn ) i may want to sell this bass on. it's a MIM Fender P bass in electron blue, bought new by me in march this year & blinged somewhat. here's a pic its had- a genuine Fender white pearl s/plate Gotoh 201 bridge (gold) Gotoh vintage reverse tuners (gold) Gotoh nech plate (gold) Gotoh strap buttons (gold) unknown make string tree (gold) WD music vol/tone knobs (gold)-- solid brass i think. all fitting/screws replaced (gold) (you may think i like gold hardware ) a very new set of Ernie Ball group iv flatwounds (my fave' flats by far) an extremely fantastic setup (by me ) altogether this bass stands me at £550.00 but i know what cash is like at the mo so i'd like a measley £350.00 for it,which i reckon is a fair price. cheers, art'. ohh btw i'll chuck in all the origional hardware & s/plate f.o.c. aswell. + a Fender gig bag
 12.
For me its weak point is the lack of passive switching - that would be a bonus I think.
yes i agree i have looked for a passive switch but hey when it sounds this good who cares
 13.
I have the same bass but with rosewood - you can see it in my avatar. I know some people don't care for the American Deluxes but to me this is a great bass in a great colour. I love the neck. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
cheers mate. they really are lovely basses,i'd never even considered one before but just spotted it on the wall & fell in lust with it. i agree about the neck-this has the best neck & fretwork of any bass i've ever owned.
 14.
Sounds like a perfect Saturday to me. No credit crunch up north then?! Nice bass bet it sounds as good as it looks. I'm currently saving up to buy some strings
i know what you mean,i'll sh*te me pants when me visa bill arrives. oh well
 15. thanks guys she really is a beauty.
 16. walked into PMT leeds this afternoon & spotted a rather nice P bass on the wall & i just had to have a go. then i just had to buy it you know how it is. anyhow i managed to haggle £100.00 off, then they said they gave a free 3 year warranty which includes free setups too, wicked. the guitar tech' set it up as i was paying for it & even he commented on how good the neck is-lowest action i've ever seen on a Fender & no rattles good service or what. the bass plays beautifully & sounds ace (pitty about the ham fisted twat playing it ) anyway enough prattle, here's some crap photos taken in this afternoon's Yorkshire gloom. btw my sh*te pic's don't do it justice.
 17.
And others like being mysterious Rude? Miss the 'thanks' and 'no, thanks' did you? Why not just put the price and location and be done with it?
i thought the mods might take a dim view of me advertising for my local shop-hence the mystery. but i reckon it may well go for less than £500.00,which is less than mine cost & less than i've seen 'em anywhere else. its in a shop in harrogate which might possibly be called "rock steady music" whose phone number may be 01423 529000. & the bloke to ask for may be called Phil. who knows ?
 18.
Same here. I think they only do them in black and sunburst which I've already got. Pity because I just love those block markers. Now, CAR or LPB and I'd be up there this morning.
that's the '70s one you're thinking of mate. the '60s one doesn't have the block markers or bound neck,it comes in black, white or 3tsb.
 19.
what makes you say that?
some people just like being rude, i guess.
 20.
how good is a good price?
phone him & find out,i'll send you his details.
 21. lovely basses these (i've got one myself ) he'll do a really good price on it(for Basschatters) too,if ya want it let me know & i'll give you his details.
 22.
can't comment on the b2re but...the b410hlf is a superb cab! it is the cheaper series with the svt410hlf being the more expensive big brother.
+1 damn fine cabs, easily the best sounding cab i've ever heard or used.
