  1. I was going to say my squire 60s precision bass but a few days ago I purchased a Digitech Drop pedal and that has replaced it on top 😂 wanted one for ages
  2. 😲😐 I can't see Arry or Maiden Holdings plc signing off on this utter tosh.
  3. Just wanted to update here I purchased the bassbuzz course and surprised myself with just how much I knew somewhere in the old grey matter that I cancelled my subscription after the first month and haven't looked for another course since then. I don't regret buying a month of the course as it have me confidence in my playing ability
  4. OT I know but does anyone know somewhere to get Bass tabs from that are saveable to PDF? All the ones I find charge you to download them which isn't any good as I want them to use on my iPad
  5. All sorted now thanks for your help guys
  6. So I connect direct to my tc bh250?
  7. Doesn't warrant a new thread so I'll ask here but does anyone know what lead I'd need to connect the zoom b3 to my Markbass Traveler 102p? I'm guessing it would be through the XLR but there are so many options of leads I don't want to purchase one to find it's the wrong one
  8. I’ve been playing both pick and finger style since I started and like to think I do so very comfortably but I did play electric guitar before switching to bass due to the fact my hands are too big to play a guitar comfortably so that’s more than likely helped
  9. I'm a big HB fan and own 3 of there instruments and love there basses but I yesterday purchased a squier cv precision pj bass so I'll have to give these a miss for a lil bit
  10. I've found a few open Mic nights this eve on your rec and so I'll be checking them out in the next week or so
  11. My brother In law is a drummer and we've jammed before and I spent months looking for guitar players and a singer which we did eventually find but after one jam he backed out sighting life issues and the other three just fell apart sadly
  12. I'm probably not the only one in this position but for the life of me I just cannot find a covers band in my area (Southend, Essex) that's looking for a bassist. I don't care what type of music as long as it's not funk or jazz and I'm not bothered if they are older than me (I'm 38) I just want to play with others I've tried Facebook groups, Craig's list, joinmyband, bandmix, posting to YouTube, Instagram, x, tiktok, hell I've posted physical adverts in music shop windows and the local papers and I've not even had a sniff. Is it really that hard to find fellow musicians?
  13. Don’t suppose anyone knows where I can get a rickenbacker copy from in the uk do they around 400? I’ve seen the Harley Benton version but the headstock puts me right off of it
  14. Bassist looking for a covers band in Southend and the local area. Music genre not important just want to play WhatsApp me at 07825 457694
  15. Where do people find dep gigs?
  16. Was she not recently with Mercyful Fate?
  17. Has anyone taken this course and if so how was it? I'll be honest that my theory etc with regards to our beloved instrument isn't great and starts and ends at knowing the notes all over the fretboard. The rest is knowing cover songs so I've been looking at taking an online course aswell as jamming to songs daily and the one that keeps coming up is the bassbuzz course. The one thing that gets me is it seems very expensive for what it is but if it works and improves my knowledge then I'll pay it Does anyone here have any experience good or bad with this course?
  18. The hunt goes on unfortunately
  19. Nothing outstanding but here is some Animal by Def Leppard
  20. Thanks for the great responses folks I really appreciate it and I've been looking into zoom B3 and really do like that option. My one Q is now to in ear monitors so I can hear myself clearly. What's the best option for in ears?
  21. I'm after something that will be easy to take on public transport to rehearsals and gigs, type of music is a mix from metal so Iron Maiden etc down to Luther Van Dross lol And going into a supplied PA
  22. Would the following do the job? BDI 21, Overdrive and comp
  23. Wasn't sure in which section to post this but In the times in which I don't have my amp to hand just a bass and a pedal for rehearsals and gigging which one pedal would cover everything I'd need? This might be a silly question but I've been looking at ampless and I'm confusing myself 😂
  24. As someone that doesn't drive I'm finding this is hampering my ability to find jam buddies/dept gigs and I'll be honest it's disheartening as I can't afford a car or even lessons I can't be the only one that's faced this situation though surely? So for those who have dealt with this how did/do you get around it and get to rehearsals/gigs?
