Nothing outstanding but here is some Animal by Def Leppard
-
Thanks for the great responses folks I really appreciate it and I've been looking into zoom B3 and really do like that option. My one Q is now to in ear monitors so I can hear myself clearly. What's the best option for in ears?

I'm after something that will be easy to take on public transport to rehearsals and gigs, type of music is a mix from metal so Iron Maiden etc down to Luther Van Dross lol And going into a supplied PA

Would the following do the job? BDI 21, Overdrive and comp

Wasn't sure in which section to post this but In the times in which I don't have my amp to hand just a bass and a pedal for rehearsals and gigging which one pedal would cover everything I'd need? This might be a silly question but I've been looking at ampless and I'm confusing myself 😂

As someone that doesn't drive I'm finding this is hampering my ability to find jam buddies/dept gigs and I'll be honest it's disheartening as I can't afford a car or even lessons I can't be the only one that's faced this situation though surely? So for those who have dealt with this how did/do you get around it and get to rehearsals/gigs?

Well I'm still looking and generally becoming disheartened that I'll find anything. The only time I had success was when me and a mate started a covers group and that got as far as one rehearsal with duo guitars, singer and drummer before the drummer backed out after one session. I'm using joinmyband to find an opportunity but it's just not working out so can anyone please recommend a different more successful approach to tacking this?

I did contact them but unfortunately as I don't drive they weren't interested I do have transport so it wouldn't be an issue. Annoying as bands local looking for a bassist seen rate as rocking horse poop lol The search goes on

Bassist 38 Southend-on-sea Pro-gear Looking to either jam or join a covers band. Willing to play anything apart from Jazz and slap Been looking for a while with very little success

Maiden at the London stadium yesterday Blazing hot but having seen them twice before (final frontier and maiden england) this was by far the best I've had the pleasure of being an audience member for 50 years and the mighty Iron Maiden are as hot as ever

Bit of a weird question but basically I'm looking for a speaker cab that'll be good enough for jamming with just a drummer. For full group practice etc I'll use my MarkBass cab but thought I'd see if I could find something smaller for times when the big cab isn't needed. My amp head is a tc BH250 Price range about £130.

Reading this thread gives me relief that I'm not a useless bass player when I struggle on certain songs 😁

Nothing special just a Polytune

Scaled back my board to just a compressor, overdrive and DI with a tuner just off screen

Ever since I've been playing an instrument from guitar and for the last 12 or so years the bass I've only ever used and really understood tab. I'm now at the point in my journey I want to learn to read and understand sheet music but I've no idea where to start. Can anyone point me in the direction of a few YouTube vids, articles etc to set me off prepared in the best direction to achieve my aim?

Gave me a right fright this topic 😄

How was Your rehearsal last morning or night ?

Second rehearsal as a band yesterday and wow! That rush of jamming with others is like a drug and I want more -
Thanks for the replies 👍 much appreciated

At our next rehearsal our guitarists are going to be playing songs that would normally be in E down to Eb. I've no issue with this but don't want to make myself an idiot by asking this but anyways 😂 is it just a matter of playing the same notes that would be in E tuning for a song but just with my bass tuned down half a step? Hope that makes sense
