Nine Volt Home Run Compressor pedal (boxed - mint)
The Twickerman posted a topic in Effects For Sale
Another pedal surplus to requirements. And it's a peach - as rare as hens' teeth as well - and a bit of a bargain. £75 (trades and PX considered). £6 to post. Here's a stock photo. Mine's mint and boxed. [indent=1][attachment=246342:Capture.JPG][/indent] Here's what's been written about the thing:- [indent=1][i][color=#666666]For electric guitarist the compressor is confusing effect. Indeed, the effect of the compressor does not make for a "showy" effect. In fact, the compressor, even with it's seemingly "no effect" sound, it is an essential ingredient to lay the foundation of your guitar tone.[/color] [color=#666666]The modern player needs is a "natural" compressor, easy to understand the effect at the same time. This is a compressor that can be used in simple set up. A high-end studio compressors at its base, the 1927 Home Run King Comp. achieves the quality that goes beyond the boundaries of guitar pedal.[/color] [color=#666666]A compressor is used to vary the density of the tone. The principle is close to the distortion effects such as overdrive, in a sense one might say "distort not strain system".[/color] [color=#666666]The effected sound is that of increased sustain, and even out the intensity of the all the notes, making it easier to handle the tones when playing the guitar.[/color] [color=#666666]1927 HOME RUN KING COMP. Is equipped with an LED that shows the compressor working and an additional LED to indicate the unit is ON/OFF/ to determine at a glance if the compressor is applied to the sound. The tone of the compressor itself is very natural, and with the 1 job EQ you can still control the full range of the effect, and correct t's tonality. [/color] [color=#666666]In addition, 1927 HOME RUN KING COMP., Even compared to many other compressors, it is a low noise i masterpiece. It's three knob simple configuration is simple to operate.[/color][/i] [color=#666666]Current consumption: 17.5mA[/color] [color=#666666]Input impedance: 500k ohm[/color] [color=#666666]Output impedance: 10k ohm[/color] [color=#666666]Power: 9V Battery or DC 9V Center Negative[/color] [color=#666666]True Bypass[/color][/indent] -
[color=#1D2129][font=Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif][size=4]Hello folks,[/size][/font][/color] [color=#1D2129][font=Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif][size=4]For sale: this is a bespoke multi-function pedal of any use to players of bass and guitar or guitar/bass double necks.[/size][/font][/color] [color=#1D2129][font=Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif][size=4]It has a stereo input for a guitar/bass doubleneck and a mono input for regular guitar or bass. It has two outputs - one for a guitar amp, one for bass.[/size][/font][/color] [indent=1] [attachment=246334:18555988_10155529725921844_1036406688425490944_n.jpg][/indent] [color=#1D2129][font=Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif][size=4]One foot switch will route the selected instrument to the appropriate amp. The status of this switch is indicated by the colour of the associated led.[/size][/font][/color] [color=#1D2129][font=Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif][size=4]It also features a shared effect loop. There is a bypass footswitch on the loop and a status led.[/size][/font][/color] [color=#1D2129][font=Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif][size=4]And there's more! If you plug in a mono instrument, there is a crossover that can be engaged to split the signal between two amps. In this case the bass/guitar selector selects which half goes through the effects loop. The frequency of the crossover is adjustable by the knob. Status of the crossover is indicated by the adjacent led. Try this with a bass and put a flanger on one half of the signal for insane piano-like sounds![/size][/font][/color] [color=#1D2129][font=Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif][size=4]The stereo input expects a cable wired tip=guitar, ring=bass.[/size][/font][/color] [color=#1D2129][font=Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif][size=4]The pedal was a custom build. All of the switching uses relays.[/size][/font][/color] [color=#1D2129][font=Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif][size=4]I'm selling it as I've gone for a Boss ES-8.[/size][/font][/color] [color=#1D2129][font=Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif][size=4]I hope I don't regret this![/size][/font][/color] [color=#1D2129][font=Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif]£8 to post this one.[/font][/color]

Whats the longest you've had a bass for?
The Twickerman replied to Mrbigstuff's topic in Bass Guitars
I got an Eko B-02, my second bass, with my first pay packet in 1985. Still got it and play it occasionally. Wonderful instrument! Like this, but without the thumbrest (and the toe!):- https://images.talkbass.com/proxy.php?image=http%3A%2F%2Fi1180.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fx408%2FIanreed99%2Fb90db26c.jpg&hash=3ed8c613a59cbeed3dd08c3e8b1431a7 I then got a 1978 4001 early in 1986 which I still have today. It doesn't get played as often as it should since I got a 4001cs - bit is also very beautiful. -

If you wrap the link in IMG tags, or just use the image button on the compose message toolbar, they will show up directly in the post like this: [/quote] Thanks. I'll give that a go.
