Have finally graduated onto playing "Hit Me With Your Rhythm Stick" but the band's a bit stuck on the chorus. Over the "Hit me with your rhythm stick..." line on the bass it's F, G and then....... I think it may be an A but our guitarist thinks it's Ab. Does anyone know what the guitar chords are too? Can't find anything on the net and find it hard to ork out from the record.
Definitely A. The first two times. Then F, G, Ab, A, Bb, A, Ab, G, Bb, C
Bump for a top bloke, bought a few bits from mert over the years and I'd have the pre as well if I didnt have a v-type combo already
Cheers man! How you finding the V-Type combo? I miss it... (Did you buy it from delberthot? If so it's my old one ) The V-Type preamp has been (provisionally, obviously) spoken for, if this all happens. now I just need to know if the Nemesis would shift, as without that having any takers the whole plan goes up in smoke Everyone will know the score by Wednesday

Hello! ALL GONE NOW, CHEERS TO GOAROUND AND CK I have just agreed to buy wayne58's Eden WT550 (oooh yeah!) so all this has to go to fund it. V-Type pre, I'm afraid, has already been earmarked for Platypus from my previous feeler and will be off in the next day or two. Eden Nemesis NA650 - SOLD 650W@ 2 ohm, 440W @ 4 ohms, 280W @ 8 ohms A cracking amp, really versatile and LOUD. Bought on here in Jan for £225 in a rack case, selling for £225 as well, still in its rackcase. Loads of amp for the money, a great way into the Eden world, I'm just lucky to have grabbed myself the amp I've always fancied in their range GONE Peavey DPC750 power amp - SOLD PENDING PAYMENT Around 500W at 4 ohm per channel, or around 750W at 8 ohm bridged. I believe this was Peavey's first foray into SMPS power amps. It's great, really good in fact. Loud, punch-in-the-guts power with enough headroom and transient power to give you everything you need. I have only had it a few months and it's been a joy to use but sadly EVERYTHING has to go to fund the WT550 and I really don't need two rigs. I will sell with a 2U rackbag (brand new from the Flightcase Warehouse) for £160 or it's yours without the bag for £140 which is what I paid I think. More pics to follow but again apologies for pinching the previous FS pics from Guyl: Mert

Short answer: It'll be fine Long answer: THe Harkte and Ashdown heads both work with a min load of 4 ohms. Both your cabs are 8 ohms, so wired in parallel (which they will be) will give you the 4 ohm minimum.
I have the head unit. This model always throws up confussion. From what I can tell, with two 8 ohm speakers connected, it still only kicks out 150 watts. Min load of 4ohms probably gives 150 watts. Single 8 ohm cab probably gives 80-100 watts. I've been told that its 150 watts per speaker output. What the yanks refer to as a bi-board system.I e-mailed TE about it but I may as well have been asking our drummer. I've attached a bad phone shot of the back panel of mine. The manual is impossible to find for this range. I'd suggest getting a good 8ohm 4x10 to run with the internal 1x15 and DI to the desk. The shape 2 button is suggested for rock tones. Personally I dont use it but our guitard loves the sound it kicks in.
The bi-board thing doesn't apply to this, that is for the stereo heads only like the smx600 head
This is where I'm getting confused. It says "150 watts RMS" "300 watts peak" Speaker output 4 Ohms. What does this all mean? Yes, it's loud enough, it will cover nearly all the gigs we do in local pubs, but it wouldn't be loud enough for some of the beer festivals we're doing this year, most of which are in huge marquees with no wall or corner to place my amp in. I can line out, of course, but our PA has no bass bins so it would probably sound better if I didn't. It's an SM combo, yes. The front says GP7 SM 150. At the moment I'm avoiding using the EQ too much, it has the Trace 'shape' button on the front, shape 1 and 2. Apparently shape 1 is the classic trace sound, but it's been a bit muddy so I've been using shape 2 with just a touch of low mid boost.
It's the RMS figure you should concern yourself with, peak power is nonsense. So you have a 150w combo, which gives about 80 to 100w into the internal driver and with additional 8 ohm cab you'll get the full 300w
If, with a cab connected, the Trace will kick out 300 watts (Hartke is 350w) then it'll be fine for the bigger gigs.
Er, if it's a 150W combo it'll kick out 150W with a cab connected, and about 90W without. If it's a 300W comobo it'll kick out around 180-200W without a cab, and 300W with. Nice simple combos these were, always sounded great to my ears
will put some pics on there tomorrow if still for sale, please pm if intersted
How about some pics to prove it exists? People still rmemeber the debacle of me trying to buy it and there weren't any photos then either... May help your cause
I do think Merton should have first refusal on this, since he attempted to buy it last time until Parcelforce got in the way
Aye
Two things puzzle me about the Hartke. It only seems to have one volume knob, rather than input gain/output volume. With the fender-style valve preamp and passive eq I would think its important to match the input gain to the instrument? Also the DI seems to be pre-eq (ie flat) only, so you can't send your preamp sound as a DI. Can anyone who's owned or used one comment?
There's a whole thread somewhere dedicated to the LH amps and this was a hot topic. Short answer, it works very very well indeed and makes a lot of sense. No farting about setting gain level as it is a very high headroom low noise preamp.

Thinking of going back to using Ashdown bass heads...
Merton replied to StevieD_FenderP2009's topic in Amps and Cabs
The MK575 is the best Ashdown i have played thru. Set it flat, turn it up and off you go!
